Jimmy I’m sick over this. What in the actual f*ck goes on with this franchise?! I legit can’t remember the last time I felt this bad about the team. Probably game 7 against Tampa but this even feels worse. The best move may be to do nothing honestly. Let them sit in this and grow from this. Idk I don’t have the answers. Don’t think they will fire Gallant but who knows.

All they can do is bring in a coach / staff that coaches / trains the way the guys play and hope it works out.

it did remind me of that game, but honestly that was worse

that team could have made the final, this team was fool's gold

I actually do think they are firing Gallant

I got a semi.

I have to say, I was very pro Gallant when they hired him. I thought they got the guy to bring them over the top. He wore out his welcome with me quick. I stopped watching postgames because of him.

He does this at every stop. Listen I have no faith for the rangers to get it right. So on and on we go.

I always questioned why he only lasted 3 years with every franchise prior. Makes perfect sense now

If you guys expect anything to change with just a new coach and not personnel, gonna be in for a disappointment

I think a lot of us were on board. I think many of us saw something along the lines of Trotz when he got to the Caps.

Seravalli writes that “opposition staffs” see Gallant as “lacking the creative approach to make appropriate in-game or in-series changes.”

That is pretty damning if you ask me. I mean no one in the organization, apart from igor, is free from blame. However, as noted by others, its easier to make a coaching change than flip the roster(in rangers case the latter is not even a possibility)

That's also a problem. Who are they trade though? Everybody has some kinda of clause. And the guys who don't are worth that much.

Yup. Either the players realize they have to change their style of play or its just going to be the same thing over and over..... until the roster is revamped

quite honestly 'm not interested in Motte or Mikkola coming back, I know when things were good everybody was gung ho about re-signing them

but those spots need to be filled by cheaper Hartford guys

That's fine. Honestly it's time for Jones are Robertson to grab that spot. If I see Ben Harpur every game next year, pack it up.

Harpur is still a perfect 7th d-man, he's so cheap and doesn't need to keep playing to develop

but yeah no way should he be regular 6th d-man

We definitely need to have space for Cuylle and possibly Othmann next season.
