Zib is just a knee jerk reaction to last night, it took us years to have a number 1 center

he was team MVP this year and just had a bad round

- jimbro83

I like zib. Probably a top 15-20 center. I just prefer a 5v5 play driver as my number 1c. He’s. Orr of a pp specialist

I'm pulling for Toronto tbh. I know a lot of their fans are insufferable, but I'd like to see giordano win.plus I may be flying out to Toronto in June so be fun to possibly see a deciding game out there (at a bar not the arena of course lol)

I kind of see them as the Eagles fans of the NHL. Big enough jackasses without winning, then when they won it as a whole new level.

I didnt mind Trouba, I think Miller made some horrible decisions with the puck and is not a smart player. People always wanna bash Trouba for that pair failing but I thought Miller had a terrible series.
- mrn22

Really hope miller just had a bad year because he regressed quite a bit. He had way too many bad turnovers throughout the year. Seemed like every time he was on the ice we were either surrendering a goal or a grade A chance.

I wonder from time to time what would have been if the rangers traded for Eichel when they had the chance and then moved Zib in another deal to replenish the assets before giving him the contract. Dumb now but hey we are in off-season mode lol

I mean they will probably burn down Toronto either way. Imagine being a giants fan and having to deal with the eagles over the past decade when we've sucked and they've been very good and completely owned us lol

Tbh the players we would have moved haven't even panned out. I'd imagine one of kakko or laf would have been the center piece. A first and a 2nd and probably another top prospect.

Idk how ya do it, at least I'm still banking off the giants past championships. Rangers are enough disappointment and heartbreak to deal with.

Zib was phenomenal in last year's playoffs, was Team MVP this year, I am so disappointed in him, but Im willing to give him a pass

I never would have guessed he'd be so ineffective in this series

In the end Flames players simply hated going to the rink, where Darryl Sutter liked it being tense, heavy and unpredictable.

Sutter's management of people ultimately led to his downfall in Calgary. (@EricFrancis

Matthews is coming up for a new contract in 1 year. The Leafs want to sign him, but if he doesn't want to sign in Toronto, I bet the Rangers would put a package on the table. This could happen very quickly, because once the draft arrives, his no movement clause kicks in for the last year. Leafs would quickly have an auction if they can't sign him. So what would you give up to have Austin Matthews on the Rangers?

He's the kind of guy that has a short shelf life. He'd probably be good for the Rangers on like a two year deal to whip everyone into shape, but after that you gotta get rid of him.

I feel like Knobloch would be wise to look at but they're gonna go with somebody who's coached in the NHL before and i hate it

I want coach Q. I just want to see it all burn.

Coach Q and Sutter is the assistant.

He's a relic from 20 years ago. He's like Mike Babcock. The time of mind games and embarrassing players died years ago. Coaches today use analytics and psychology to get their players motivated and playing their team game. Looking at teams who've excelled, look at the Bruins point totals, compared to last year. Bruce Cassidy was fired and the team took off, in the regular season. It's all about a fresh approach. Most successful teams have a fresh face on the bench and the turnover of assistant coaches is even more pronounced.
