They've had some positive moments. That was far from the word period they've played this series. I'm neutral for the 5v5 play, but disappointed in the lack of PP urgency.

I liked Knies with O'Reilly. That's a solid pair that play the same way. Plus less defensive responsibility and like you said, easier offence competition as well.

Yup. ROR has faded a bit as well, he clearly had success with Knies let's use that to spark him.

We're all in agreement - (a) Knies doesn't need to face the top competition, (b) he doesn't have a ton of experience with M&M or M&N and (c) like you said, he has played very well with O'Reilly, who looks out for him and helps him on the ice.

Let the kid grow into the role, don't force him into a role he doesn't have to be in.

Leafs seem to be playing Like there just trying not to lose. Start playing to win ffs and have a little faith in your scoring ability.
