Friedman and Russo both reporting that the #mnwild are thinking about trading Marco Rossi…gotta think that would be a “young C” that the #Canucks would target if they were to trade Miller and flip picks.

Minny has 14.6 tied up in a buyout next season... don't see them being able to take on any salary like Miller

Rossi would fit this group nicely.

I think the poster was saying trade JTM to other team and use assets that come back like a second round pick as part of the trade. He was drafted 9 th OA but I would not give up much for him.

I have to say after last nights results it is an eye opener about just making the playoffs. I did expect TB to lose seeing they had their time in the spotlight but the Bruins with the most wins ever in a single season up 3 to 1 and out. Eye opener.

Avs no big surprise because of their year but Seattle was surprising. Carolina is going nowhere, and Rangers seem like they are in trouble.

Canucks missed the playoffs by about 8 more wins. I think a couple of smart moves this summer and get rid of wasted money and see what happens.

I am not falling for the end of the season push but I do think the Canucks had a terrible first half even for their standards.

I am looking forward to the end of the playoffs and that is where my season begins.

Ya I had posted something like that before. If they went through with the rumored Pitts trade at the TDL, they could have flipped some of those firsts for a younger C or two (I had put out someone like Roslovic as he's in that better age window, but Rossi is a good player/prospect)

Like Tocchet said it's a copycat league, he may have to change his current way of thinking?

My thoughts are Miller is staying and they will find an easier trade like Rosovic or Ross out of TB. I don't think they are panicking about the C, it is more of a wish list item, but the D needs attention right away.

You have sank to our level.

I remember a few years back when Leafs sucked they would be all in on the Marlies.

I haven't watched a hour of the games so far but what I have read does not seem like fighting or toughness is an issue like it use to be?

I think the teams are getting a lot closer in talent level so that is why I think just make the playoffs and see what happens.

First in the west. Up 2-0 in their series, rookie D allstar Poirier, #1 goalie in the A, Dustin Wolf, first team allstar, Mathew Phillips, Sutter gone, we may actually see a few young guys.

Huberdeau and Kadri were stupid signings by a desperate GM, you guys should know all about that. I think we’ll see some bounce back by both players now that Sutter is gone. Still though, horrendous contracts.

What’s a buyout for Marky, Huberdeau and Weeger look like? They all need to go

Edit: forgot about Kadri. Worst of all of them thanks for the reminder lol

Dude, watch the games. 'one' instance where Bo wouldn't stand for his team mates?

One?

- LordHumungous

We were talking about the Sedins bud

Bo fought a couple times when he had to, off the top of my mind I remember him giving Nurse a decent scrap, Accairi, Coyle. I think Bo was a pretty typical captain in terms of how often he mucked it up - I see the same style in Kopitar, Barkov, Bergeron, Jordan Staal, Toews, Stamkos, Lee, Couture, Crosby, Tavares. Just the way it is.

That’s what my buddy keeps saying, how the Canucks are finally on the right track, then they traded for a damaged D.

Nurse was laughing when he fought Bo. They were buddies and he didn’t want to hurt him. A captain doesn’t have to fight but they have to play hard and play the right way. Bo was a coward who would fly the zone and turn the other cheek the minute a linemate needed him

Huberdeau, Kadri, are the only two really bad ones - but both those guys still have a few productive years ahead. Marky, Coleman and Weeger arnt too bad

The list I rhymed off has as many or more per team. On average every team has 2-3 horrific contracts.
