Since a lot of people have poop on him all year, worth mentioning he finished the season very strong. He’s got some potential for sure.

Just imagine a rebuild that would have a very large amount of young prospects similar to him, that the Canucks fans would be hating on over and over again. Could definitely handle the rebuild, about as well as they handle mediocrity.

“I think every player is unique,” said Allvin. “I think the players dictate when they are ready. It’s a big step. We’re not rushing any players and

Gotta let kids develop. The Red Wings have been very good at that, at least historically. I don’t know where I read it but part of the reason they feel the 2003 draft class was arguably the best ever is because they all had an extra year of development with the lockout. I still think 1979 was better though.

Quite possible. A lot of talent in that draft though.

Bader has this draft just trumping all others though.

Makes no sense though that Malkin, Ovi were not 50+ players.

3 cups in 18 years in Detroit speaks volumes to their developmental process. Made the PO's for almost two full decades as well. Probably one of the best (if not the best) developmental programs in history.

The secret is trading an injured defenceman due for a big raise to a desperate team with no concept of drafting and development, for prime draft picks.

Just so I’m clear, is anything under 6 foot a halfling in the Joy Luck Club?

Ya 5”10, not something I’ve found to be too much of a challenge if I’m honest. But hey, we all have opinions and yours is very important.

Especially when you want something from the top shelf.
