Axel Sandin Pellikka in coming.
- manvanfan

God I hope so. I looked a couple other teams, San Jose 15 and Edmonton 12, the organization needs to build differently. Defensemen are key to success, right LM.

Is he? I thought he was JR's boi.

No, they’re experienced, professional, grown men in a billion dollar organization.

They could just keep trading draft picks for injured Dmen like they have done.

He looked like a scared little boy scout the night the camera was on in the Canucks box when JR threw a tantrum. I thought he was going to hide behind Castonguay.

They should try trading down

Lekkerimäki team shut out in game 7.

I’d assume he gets traded to an SHL team or plays for Abbotsford next season.

Seems like that’s pretty much the only way they ever get good defensemen, trade for them. Lumme, Salo, Jovo, Hamhuis, Babych, etc.

Benning scouts were better when players fell according to their draft boards.

Agreed, why not use useless draft picks.

I don’t know if you know this but Allvin, who’s 6’2” 200 lbs, was a tough scrappy (frank)er when he played. I don’t think he’s scared of an 80 year old man.

That’s the Benning model, five picks out, one in.

Yeah but Jim was a mans man, wasn't afraid to tell his prez to take a hike. He didn't need no librarian to hide behind.

“We knew that Axel Sandin Pellikka could move the puck and make shifty, creative offensive plays.

But his defensive posture, his footwork, his angling have all been top notch at this event.

So many subtle, pro-level plays.”

“Most goals ever by a USNTDP skater in a single season:

• Cole Caufield 72

I saw him earlier in the year playing against men in the SHL and he was good but not top 10 good.

This tournament, he was very mature. Not a faster skater but an effortless stride. He stood lots of players up at the blue line and took the body lots.

Looked a lot like Adam Fox out there. If he was there at 11, I would take him. Top D in this draft for sure.

“I think every player is unique,” said Allvin. “I think the players dictate when they are ready. It’s a big step. We’re not rushing any players and [those] players will dictate to us through the development staff where they are in the development path and when they’re ready to go.” -Allvin

Since a lot of people have poop on him all year, worth mentioning he finished the season very strong. He’s got some potential for sure.
