2 of their most reliable players responsible for that goal.

To come out and play that way in the 3rd period was inexcusable. Get me Quennville. (frank) that.

They 100% got what they deserved.
Their so-called leaders were no shows for this series

I’m hoping we hear that they were injured because the first line was non existent.

Icing it 600x to try and win 1-0 wasn't the best strategy in the third...

Nope, as someone said, they just looked gassed in the 3rd. They outhustled the Canes in the first 2 periods, but only had a slim lead to show for it. Their inability to put pucks in the net caught up with them.

We know Barzal was injured. Horvat gave them practically nothing. Lee is not a good matchup against the Canes.

Because we have to be the most inaccurate team in the league. At least, playoff team.

Been an issue for the longest time and Lou has not addressed the issue.

Horvat is not the leader I thought we were getting. In fact, I'm not sure what he brings beyond winning faceoffs.

No excuses, but clearly Barzal want's 100%. They still had chances to win that game but couldn't get it done.

I’m a Horvat fan but he was inexcusably bad, both 5 on 5 and on the PP. They got zero offense from him.

I could not tell you the type of player Horvat was with him being in Vancouver. I was not crazy about the trade just going off his past numbers. Rather Meier was acquired.

This Canes team is gonna get lit up in the next series, that’s what pisses me off the most right now.

Horvat looked slow as Lee at times. This was Lane's first year and the jury is still out, but I'm disappointed in Lou. I'd rather move on at this point.

Maybe. Carolina still has a formidable defense, even though they have a bunch of forwards injured.

I don't think they were gassed. I think that was the plan...not necessarily to ice it, but to just keep chipping it out and playing it ultra safe instead of trying to push the pay and risk a mistake. It's just a really long time to try and do that for the whole third period with only a one-goal lead.

So would the Isles if they had advanced.

That doesn’t matter right now. They choked tonight. It doesn’t sit well with me.

Yeah I agree. We need a coach who doesn’t have this mentality. They were clearly playing not to lose.

A $9m Kip Miller
Lee had 28 goals this year but watching him in this series, I have no idea how. He was absolutely pathetic. Not only did he look like the slowest player on the ice but he was consistently outmuscled
$16m bought us two guys who combined for two garbage time goals and virtually nothing else.

Should have held firm on no more than 5 years for Lee. Sorry schwein. Horvat did not look any faster.

I was waiting to see something...anything from him. OK, he's not scoring, but how about winning some one-on-one battles? Nope. Creating space for his teammates? Nope. Finding space for himself? Nope. Cripes, he couldn't even receive passes most of the time. But those faceoffs, man. Those faceoffs.

I dunno. It seemed to me that they were losing puck battles and races to loose pucks in the 3rd period.........unlike in the first 2 periods. I'm not saying that their game plan didn't change in the 3rd........just that they weren't executing very well whatever their game plan was.
