No coincidence that Kylington chose to sit the year in Sweden instead of play for Sutter. If these players think Sutter won’t be behind the bench come September after signing an 8 million extension, then they’re in for a big suprise.

2 more years of Sutter, you know get that mid table draft pick and waste the years of the teams 3 best contracts. Lindholm, Toffoli, Backlund. At least when they miss the playoffs next season, they will be able to start a quick rebuild.

Flames have said it’s not a substance abuse situation with Kylington. I’m sure Backlund will be traded this summer, he wants to win the cup before he’s done. Toffoli loves playing for Sutter and has come out and said as much but I’d still wait to see how he plays this year. Lindholm is 28 and this is his big payday coming up. As far as playoffs go, Flames need to be huge sellers at the deadline, but typical Flame luck will finish 17th just out of the playoffs and just ahead of the Canucks.

There’s no such thing as a”curse”. Just poor ownership, management and organizational staff. All of which have been a HUGE issue for the Canucks organization for most of their history.
