I’m glad someone else pointed this out. I like Cam York and I’m not at all saying that he can’t develop into something special but this lifting him up to put another defender down this season has been ridiculous. York in my opinion was very average this season. He looked pretty good when he was brought up from the minors and then quickly blended in with the rest of the team. - SuperSchennBros
I hear you. I also like York and am interested to see how he develops. I don't see him as a top pairing just yet but it could happen on this team, especially if Provy goes. |

This report is old. If you look down a bit it says that she was born in 1992 and that she is 29 years old. That tells me that this info is 2 years old. She now would be 31. Let the Risto rumors continue!!! - Phillywhiteout
Haha nice! Team Tarristo...or Ristaryn!

I don't see him as a top pairing defender either. Looks like the Devils have turned the clock back to the mid 1990's. Many of these playoff games have been great (especially out west), but the last two Devils/Rags games have been snoozers.

As of right now, if the Flyers trade Provorov, they don't have a single top pairing defenseman. - MJL
That’s a good thing. The Flyers need to bottom out and pick higher in the draft. This year is a perfect example. If they stay at 7, it looks like they will just miss out on a first line center prospect and this year is deeper than most drafts. They need to be picking bare minimum top 5 the next couple of seasons to actually make a cup contender and not just a team to produce playoff revenue. |

I sadly agree with you which makes the Flyers ever winning the cup a zero percent as well. They are going with the luck plan that they will be able to outdraft teams from the middle just like under Hextall. |

Have to keep that narrative going about the Devils. |

These guys don't seem like the types that would be able to handle two more dreadful seasons. Not saying that you are wrong...just saying that they won't do it. My guess is Hayes is gone and perhaps Angelo, and I guess Provorov too if he truly wants out. I wouldn't be in a hurry to trade him, but if both sides want a divorce I guess he is a goner. I wouldn't trade Hart unless he secretly wants out too, but they have a big decision to make about him soon.

Trading Hart is a no brainer. The flyers will have to sign him for big money after next season and he is one of the few trade chips the Flyers have to bring back a higher end return to jump start the rebuild. One he signs a big money extension his trade value plummets. |

You have to remember that goalies tend not to bring back as big of a return as you might think and he really hasn't been all that special the past few seasons. He has had very good games, but also has had some lapses. I wonder if he is even considered a top 10 goalie in the league? I thought Ersson could be the #1 guy if they traded Hart, but his game fell off somewhat as the season progressed. Will be interesting to see what they do with Hart and perhaps he will make the decision for them. I get the impression that he is getting tired of losing cause he has always won at every level he played at. |

There is not a single team in the NHL, including the Devils that plays a neutral zone trap as their primary system. Every team situationally uses a neutral zone checking system such as a 1-2-2 or 1-3-1. The Devils play a modern up tempo puck pressure, forechecking style. Here endeth today's lesson. |
