Besides the first 4 or so minutes of the game, there’s no urgency. Brind Amour had these guys pegged a month ago. I would love to eat these words, but do I see them tying this game? Hell, I have a hard time seeing them just scoring 1 at this point.

Dobson has been absolutely horrible...

Can’t handle the puck. Turnovers all over the ice. Barzal has been invisible. That said give the Canes credit. The Isles don’t have any room out there. Canes are on them like flies on shat.

To give the Canes credit, they haven’t TO the puck that much m. Now with a 3 goal lead they will tighten up even more.
Gonna be tough to come back here.

Slower the way they are playing today yes. Older? I’m gonna say they are about the same or The Canes are older with Burns now. But in any event they need to wake the (frank) up and skate!

Yup. Seems about right. What an embarrassing way to open up a must-win period. Can’t wait until they play like madmen with 5 minutes left.

You can see the Islanders are skating like a defeated team.

There's just a lot they need to improve personnel-wise. They're a team full of bottom six talent. Very good bottom six guys but not enough top six guys.

It only took until it was 4-0 for them to play this way.

What does that say about this team or the coaches?

Speed and talent I've said it all year.without sorokin they are a lotto team and that may have been the best way to get that speed and talent. See what Lou comes up with

The problem is, they have little to no money to improve it.

That was the basis for the Tank for Bedard strategy.

Honestly for me, Horvat, Barzal, Nelson and Lee are a pretty good 5 in the top six. So dumping Bailey and getting another wing or maybe Wally grows up. But I don’t think a lot needs to be changed in the top 6.
Today they came out hot and I think you said it the Parise poop call and then the 5 on 3 changed the momentum of the game.
That said their play today was pretty disappointing for sure.

Oh I get it, I'm happy they made the playoffs but this isn't the same team as a few years ago. They need to part ways with 12 15 and 17 for sure. I'm guessing Mayfield is gone too

OK but they don't respond and when they get down it's like there no fight in them

It was 1-0 at the time with whole game still to play, I don’t buy that at all.

And this complaining about the refs crap (not pointing at you per se) but this team can’t score a PP goal anyway, so what does it matter? That’s on the players.
