Graves took much more abuse tho. Back then you could get away with spearing someone in the nutsack - Slimtj100
True. Looking back on that era with guys like Ulfie defending, you really paid for those goals. I remember John Leclair saying he had back surgery from taking so many cross checks to the lower back. |

kid can grow a hell of a beard for a 20 year old or w/e he is. - NYRangers1124
He'll be bald in a year like Stepan. Then they can send him to Arizona. |

You cover him and then the others are open. Again, just a "good luck" situation. - JRR1285
No I get it. But the man is money from those spot. Score the majority of his 26 PP goals last year just like. You'd think you'd cover him. Whatever. It's working. This is fun. Keep it going. |

Fantastic team effort top to bottom. The officiating was suspect af - the roughing call on Fox was insane while the legit cross check just prior is "missed."
Whoever was commenting in the last blog about the refs tossing everyone with 6 mins to go and injury concerns - I was having the exact same thoughts watching that. I am all for getting a game under control, but the arbitrary tossing of players is a little too much of a power move imo. This is the playoffs, I want the games determined by the teams, not the refs. |

Kreider has been honing this for so long it looks completely automatic at times. He is so in sync with his teammates, I have never seen anything like it before on this team. - JRR1285
Goalies must say, "Ah crap" when Kreider parks himself in front. |

My whole point was even at 80% (hip), is better than Niederrieter, for instance, at 100%. It is one game but he looked like he was in his 20s last night - Slimtj100
I wasn't arguing for Niederrieter. |

I'm trying not to get hung up on production with games like this. There are no passengers right now. Everyone is doing something and it's working. |

even kane said it post game. You dont really see teams tie up a guy in front on a PK.
let them tie up 20 in front. there are so many options on the outside, getting Kreider going opens up so much if the teams start focusing on him.
don't get me started on fox. the guy is unbelievable |

I mean, he's gonna regress it's only natural. I refuse to give that guy poop. He's only scored big time playoff goals. |

Yea that’s it. Ryan Graves can’t do the things that used to be legal.
Is Nemec an offensive guy or a big mean guy or both? That’s what the devils need. Trouba type guy. Hamilton is big and all but he’s a puss |

I think it was just a basic scrum but the league is apparently doing a no nonsense thing right now. I get it but it was very early to boot a 1/4 to a 1/3 of each team. |

He also said this in his psot game interview.
Patrick Kane on Chris Kreider: "He's the best I've seen at tipping pucks around the net." High praise. |

Refs putting their foot down before it got out of hand. Still don't like it. |
