Toews had 1 point per game year. Malkin was a point per game player every single year minus the two years he played less than half the season.
Chicago at their peak had one superstar on their roster and he wanted to move on this season. Pittsburgh have 3 core players that dont want to leave and have NMCs. You're asking to do something that isnt going to happen.
Chicago's rebuild was screwed up when they decided to trade a good pick and a good d prospect for a guy whose contract was expiring at the end of the season anyway.
Its amazing how many people of other teams come to the board confident they know what the Penguins issues are and then immediately say the solution is to trade our top players and rebuild.
