Probably one of the most disfunctional seasons for the Canucks. - Marwood

And half the fan base think they're a playoff team next season. Just a few tweaks. |

Ah yes, if they played together in a couple more preseason games they would have looked way less of a cluster(frank) at game 45
The team had barely any structure under Bouds, no amount of preseason games would have given it to them. - NewYorkNuck
Bruce has always been an all offense coach 1st, which was evident in the Bruce bump, I am just saying that training camp and pre-season is the only time the team really gets a chance to work on those things, which is what I believe Booner was also trying to say.
You can't work on those things if you aren't playing the players that will be making up your roster.
Anyways, it is now playoff season and my 2nd favourite team is a contender,so at least I get to cheer on a playoff team.
Go Bruins Go. |

See what the off-season brings, maybe they bring in a couple more 5 million dollar 3rd line wingers, for a big playoff push. |

If the Canucks starting playing well after like 10 games – sure, losing training camp and preseason to AHL rosters would have been a reasonable justification/complaint.
The Canucks were playing the players on their roster from the first game of the season, plus all the practices, and they still were a mess by the time Bouds got fired. No amount of preseason would have changed that, because there wasn't anything there to instill and "work on" with Bouds. You can tell because after Tocchet came on they were able to put in a better game plan/work rate/structure. |

A D who is equal to the skillset of Hronek along with a timely departure or two.
This could be a playoff team, success past the first round in unlikely though. |

Ethan Bear throwing serious shade at Bruce and company.
Carolina might be the best structured team in the league. - manvanfan
Yet Bear was often a healthy scratch on a highly structured team.

And what has Carolina really done with all that structure, have they made a SCF or won one? I don't think they've gotten into the ECF since they won the Cup in 2007 |
