By the way, 93 points has to be one of the lower point totals to make the playoffs since they went to the loser point system.

You guys see Bailey back check that one time? Not sure they talked about it enough on the broadcast

Honestly though, he looked a lot better tonight than his previous last chance.

Collective breath now.

Would love to see the Canes beat the Cats tomorrow and see us grab that 7th spot. Even though, to me, we’re playing with house money now, I think we have a good shot at, at least, making it a 6 or 7 game series and even steal it. Boston looks like a juggernaut. They’re skilled, they have great goaltending and they’re a nasty, battle tested bunch. This isn’t some finesse 60-win team, this is a do-it-all team.

Gotta give our boys some serious credit. To make it into the playoffs without Barzal is a real accomplishment. Yeah, they got a little help but to sneak it and have a shot with this lineup is a little impressive.

Also, Romanov’s injury might affect this team as much as or even more than Barzal’s. We absolutely have to have him on the ice Game 1. We cannot trot out Bolduc the rest of this season. He’ll learn from tonight, we won thank god, but he can’t play in the playoffs.

Bailey actually looked good on that back check. He was neither a plus or a minus tonight.........so I guess that's a plus?

Hudson Fasching didn't look like a player who's going to wilt under pressure when the playoffs begin. That whole line looks like it's going at just the right time.

He did. It'll be known for decades to come simply as, The Backcheck.

Have to admit Bailey was pretty solid defensively tonight. Made a few key plays and didn’t hurt them

They just never stop working. The kind of line no other team wants to compete against. Fasching’s goal was the most important play in this game. Montreal played much better than us the 2nd half of the 1st period.

Yep, if you figure his job was to step in and be a more reliable replacement for Holmstrom, who's still an unknown in must-win games, then he did that job just fine.

Agreed. Perfect timing on that goal and it happened off of great work by that whole line. If they could just get that top line going, I feel like the other three lines, and the bottom six in particular, are going to show up and do their job.

Loved the way Pager stood up for Fasching too. Parise deserves it more than anyone on this team. Besides Sorokin LOL
