So do you pick a forward more likely to be a legit top 6 or a defender that is a little more questionable at becoming a top 4? - manvanfan
If you're not going for a top pairing D man, preferably a big, mobile defensive D man, then pick a centre. |

Right now, there isn’t any projected top pairing D in his draft. Maybe because Van has a poop D they might look like one.
In a re-draft would you pick Jared McCann or Kevin Fiala over Travis Sanheim? From a BPA stand point because we really know that’s how they will pick. |

You would pick Noah Dobson and Jesper Kotkaniemi over Brady Tkachuk then? It has to be subjective to what’s available.
Just whether you are okay giving up someone who could play top line for someone who may turn into a #4 D for the sake of needing a D.(not talking exactly those players). Would you not take the BPA over the bigger need. |

Unfortunately, the only top pairing defenseman won't be available when the Canucks pick.
It would be nice to have at least 1 top pair defender though. |

Well that is an obvious answer... If there is a can't miss winger you have to look at it.

And me lol. I have 100% full confidence they’ll draft with their first round pick. In fact, they might have two picks in round one when they trade Miller and his sulky ass! |

You always take the best player available, or slightly move back, drafting in the top end of the draft for need gets you kids like Virtanen, Kotkaniemi and Barrett Hayton. The latter two aren’t bad players but they had an opportunity to take much better players. |

I don't even know who is available other than 3 prospects so I don't care. All I know is they will stink again next year.

Or it can get you a Moritz Seider, or your boy Pouty. |

If they trade Miller rbecause of his sulky ass, does that mean Pouty and Hughes will also also be gone? |

Seider was a great find, but Yzerman is a genius. Elias Pettersson the forward was drafted where he was projected, he wasn’t a reach at all. |

No, they’ve never left the bench early because they were upset. |

Having a few lagers on the patio, at home, and smoking a nice Liga Privada #9. It’s 27°C, such a beautiful day. Humidor has the cigars a bit moist though, sometimes it’s hard being me. |

Have the Canucks put themselves in a position where they really can’t afford another winger? |

That may piss off the entire fan base too.
Question is does this team need a single top level talent you find closer to the top of the draft or 2 lesser players that may not have the same ceiling but high enough floors? |

If they draft top ten they’re gonna get a good player, not a franchise altering player, unless they get a top two pick, but a good player nonetheless. |

Well they seem to be the easiest position to fill. Not easy to find a top 4 d man or a top 2 Center.

Most rankings, scout and public have 4 as elite players and another 10 that if they reach their ceiling are top line talent. I don’t know exactly what they define top level talent as.
Does another Horvat type make the team better or does a 3lc and #4 D? |

Canucks just haven’t done themselves any favours thanks to lack of plan. |
