I was actually hired for a job, but I turned it down. I will become a social worker. I already have the degree but I have to send some docs to them so they can ask me more money, so I can make more money than any jobs that I could do right now.

You need to go to a Service Canada office (an actual location, in person), and apply for EI.

When those questions come up, just tell them the truth.

I don’t believe you need much proof for short term EI.
