we will have to wait and see, but they seem to focus on the draft more then ever and its the only way to go at some point in the NHL

The trade to get Monahan was pretty good. Dont know if they can pull another one like that next season with their cap space.

people were mad at me when I suggested trading Romanov (you were one of them), but Hughes know that sometimes, you have to trade something if you want to get something. And the depth on defense on the left side made that trade a possibility.

I was not sure about trading Romanov for 2 reasons... the first, the guy just loves hockey, works hard, plays hard - I like what he brought to the team. The second, we did not know if the other kids would look good in the NHL, specifically if WiFi could do what he did. WiFi essentially made Romanov redundant, in hindsight.

There were enough D prospects int he funnel hat the Habs could roll the dice with minimal chance of failure.

Still like Romanov, tho.

I think they will try to move Edmunson but I cant see a team bitting on him with his injuries history. That ship has sailed.

Oh I'm sure a team would love to add Edmundson and will give us something for the last year of his contract.

But obviously the return won't be as big as if we traded one of the other young guys. Which might happen if the right deal is in place.
