Not really. More for being so overrated of a player because of one good series and the media's bonaire that a guy with 61 points as a career high that has already burned two coaches to benching him and cried about getting out of two teams before the age of 25, including a team where his dad is a (frank)ing member of the staff is still being defended and pined after because he's "French Canadien!"
I dunno, maybe it would be a match made in heaven and all his female genitaliaery was to get him to the bright spotlight to be the truest Vinny Lecavalier...but I'm not buying it until it happens.
I think Montreal has a rare chance to really rebuild and unless the deal was in their favour, I would hold out for the poopty few more seasons rather than rush it. - AdamFrench
well it does sound like there's a bit of salt in that wound, just sayin'...

We will see.
But I would not be surprised. If Dvorak is still around, it might be him between those 2 players and Evans on the 4th line.
I think this year there will be a lot of changes on the team... we already know the players that will nto be back and I think a few others will be gone as well. - Mashadar
Caufield Suzuki Ylonen
Slaf Dach Anderson
RHP Dvorak Gally
Heineman Evans Armia
Pezzetta Belzile
buy out Hoffman
I would like to see more players gone, but it is what it is

I'm guessing he's going to shatter that 61 points since he's already at 60 (in only 69 games) this season.
I get the whole whiner thing but if you followed him closely, he said playing for Montreal was his dream and that he'd love to play here ever since his draft year. So yeah, I think there's enough there to be confident about him coming over extra motivated.
And considering the amount of cap space we still have and the kind of player PLD is (big, physical, talented, local centre), it'd be crazy not to offer him something. Him at a Suzuki-like contract for the next 8 years won't prevent us from rebuilding correctly or limit our possibilities salary wise.

the only thing fans should expect is his points total to drop in mtl because of our lack of skills when it comes to top six wingers
he's playing with some pretty good forwards with the Jets
being a Quebecer won't save him from any criticism though in MTL, but if he works hard and gives a decent effort every night even when he's going through a dry spell then he should be fine.
anyway I'm still not 100% convinced that he is coming, a "too obvious to be true" kind of thing, but I'll be glad if it does happen.

The only reasons why it wouldn't happen imo:
1: Someone is willing to offer him considerably more money.
2: He gets traded somewhere else next season and finds true happiness there.
3: He goes full heel NWO style and signs with the Bruins while leg dropping Suzuki at a press conference.
