Scoring RHW’s are in demand.
Not enough to go around.

The thing about Myers is after he is paid his bonus it costs 1 mil. You won't find a player that can do the tough match up or put in the minutes at one mil.

True but it’s the cap hit hurdle I look at. More likely a TDL move.

Hurdle is gone July 1st, likely off-season move. Good riddance. I said it the day we signed him: 4th dman at best.

Again you are talking throwing away five mil of the owners money. Personally IDGAF but it is you guys that are saying he won't spend money on nothing.

Why not put OEL on LTIR? no money wasted.

TDL is less money or are you suggesting we’re stuck with him over money?

Hard to call a 64pt pace an outright cap dump. A role player or 3rd is a waste of time. As for great return idk about that happening it’ll take some creativity or team really seeing him bouncing back. Cap floor teams could be in on him.

Caps Habs Pens be my guesses.

- Nighthawk

They will be trading him to create cap space. Otherwise why trade a player on pace for 64p?

Its known the Canucks need Cap space for Petey and others and if they are dipping into free agency or making a trade that takes on salary, a player like Boeser needs to be moved. Position of weakness.

If he's healthy, he's going to want to play. If they insist and he wants to play still... NHLPA gets involved and in the end, he plays.

The likelihood he agrees and quits hockey while healthy is pretty much nil.

I am suggesting nothing. I am asking a simple question of how come it is okay to throw away six mil in one year and FA won't care but suggesting 19 mil over eight years is a problem? Yes I know it is 13 mil difference, but one is a one year hit and the other is over 8 years.

I am saying if he is willing to lose six mil one year then 19 over 8 should not be a problem.

I do think they go the LTIR route which makes the most sense.

It’s only the naive that think a player like that doesn’t have value, trust fund kids can’t be trusted

The team can argue that he is not up to speed.

I am sure Pearson thought he was healthy.

I doubt any teams are going to take on that salary and give up any significant value. You are going to have to add or retain to get a worthy return. Sure, teams would welcome his production regardless of how weak and slow he is and his lengthy defensive shortcomings but 6.65 is a lot of space to use up on him. If you take a contract back that is similar, what is the point? That solves nothing for the Canucks.

Reuby probably has an extra set of pompoms if you need them. I hope they get trashed in the playoffs because they're scum.

I agree about the scum part, however, Patrice Bergeron is one of the classiest guys in NHL history. A first ballot hockey Hall of Famer. Regardless of my distain for them, this is an impressive season if you’re a hockey fan.

They can complain about his foot speed etc all they want but if he clears medically, then his foot speed is moot. He was losing foot speed before he got injured. You can't just LTIR a guy because of buyers remorse in a trade. NHLPA will go to bat for him.

Out of curiosity, what kind of stain remover do you use for this?

Trading & buyouts are separate topics. The latter eating money & using cap space for 8yrs a Poison pill.

D cap allocation is the mission for Myers having 3 choices.

1 trade for anything
2 trade & retain if necessary
3 ride it out

If he spends significant time injured after a summer off for me. With that being said, it's already a bit suspect.

And OEL buyout has nothing to do with Cap?

Hasn't hurt Minny one iota. Maybe they need bigger pills.

Only takes a look around the league to see how few scoring RW’s are around. Giving Boeser away is outright quitting on him. Value for 6.65 isn’t there but a far cry from many others in the league that are overpaid & doing far less.
