right. of the two i would prefer to keep provie over sanhiem.
- Peter Richards

Why would you want to keep the guy who needs a big new extension in just two more years?

Outside of the PP where Provorov has lost his spot anyway, Sanheim's offensive and defensive results have been superior to Provorov's for the the past three seasons - a 200+ game sample. And unlike Saint Ivan, Sanheim isn't religiously opposed to playing his off side.

People talking like Frost had an unbelievable game, two goals great. Played a part in 3 goals against where he missed picking up a guy or the puck and the Okposo goal was one of the most egregious out worked moments of the entire season.

Even though some on here don't believe that Frost is figuring things out, the coaching staff disagrees with you

Brad Shaw on Morgan Frost:

"The Frost line was great again. Frosty’s really starting to get a feel for how to have success at this level and that's a great sign for the future, for him, and for the organization."

That sounds like frosty is figuring things out, eh?

- Bob Habib

He got beat on the one goal and it was a big goal, other was a bad line change not on him, haven’t had a chance to see 3rd. There were a lot of goals last night in the nhl, truth is good players are on the ice all the x for goals. Frost needs to be better but he sure as hell is flashing high end talent, on a team with very little. Let’s hope he has another level, if he does, he will be a really good player

not sure his next contract is for that much more. he has gone against tougher comp since he came into the league.

Yes, Travis Konency is having a great offensive season but at ES he's been on the ice for 53 goals against, and only 40 goals scored = -13.

Laughton is at 58 goals against, 47 goals scored = -11.

Tippett is at 62 goals against, 54 goals scored = -8.

Frost is at 54 goals against, 50 goals scored = -4. And yet we've heard more complaints about Frost's alleged defensive problems this season than those three three guys put together.

His camp will want at least $8m. The cap will be $90 million plus in 2025.

9 other skaters on the ice. Okposo threw him off like a rag doll and went and scored a goal. Take your stat book and shove it

I'm not opposed to trading Provy. If they get just picks back your going to have a big gaping hole on the first pairing. Like him or hate him he's a minute muncher.

Another good game by Frost. You can say what you want, but I have consistently posted all year that Frost needs to be more assertive offensively instead of deferring to his linemates and trailing the play. I also have poasted that Frost has a sneaky good and accurate shot and needs to shoot more. Well as he has developed this season and his confidence swelled, he is now driving to the net, doing spin-o-ramas and shooting the puck much more. And the results are coming, two multi-goal games in his last 3 games. Its good to see, I sincerely hope he keeps this play up not just the rest of the this season, but into next season as well; the Flyers desperately need his skill in the lineup.
- jd250

This idea that Frost needs to more assertive is a myth that you created. It's simply been an attempt by you to justify the ludicrous opinion that you had that Frost is an AHL player. The truth and reality is that Frost has been playing well going back to last season. The only road block was the fool coach refusing to use him properly in the beginning of the season as well as Yeo last season.

The Okposo goal was really the only bad play by Frost. He knew Okposo had a step on him so he tried to tie him up. He should've just skated back hard instead of trying to grab Okposo. I could nitpick about the one Tuch goal as it was bad fundamentals by just about everyone on the line change.

Frost has been steadily figuring things out and improving steadily since he came off of his injury year. Despite the road blocks placed on him by his team.

He is definitely playing with confidence. I like the job the coaching staff has done all year. Torts seems to have different ways with different players. It’s not always appreciated by the fans, but if he can get a legit top 6 player out of Frost who are we to argue.
I knew you liked him all along… AHL? You were just trying to light a fire under his ass.

- landros 2

That's the ticket! I once told my daughter during in injury timout in her tennis match that she was playing so bad she should just default. She looked me dead in the eyes and said don't you dare tell to be default a match. She went out there and won the match, injury in all, so I know how to poke the bear once in a while

wrong ... wrong ... and wrong .. who did Frost play with last night? Allison and Brandon 'freakin' Lemieux again, only Frost drove the plays. Its not about his linemates, its about what he is doing on the ice, and as the season has gone along Frost has played more confidently and thus more assertively. Just admit it, Torts has done a great job with the development of all the kids this season, and its paying off right before our eyes!

i would have to look, but i think you got his linemates wrong for last night. although they did shuffle i think. he was playing with farabee and tip i thought. lenieux was with jvr and hayes. cates laughton and tk. but then the lines shuffled.

You're telling me I'm wrong...wrong....and wrong. You don't even know who he played with last night. His primary linemates were Farabee and Tippett. What do you tell people? Try watching the game.

Tortorella has done more to hold Frost back than to help him. Tortorella is a mediocre coach. You claimed that Frost is an AHL player. Claimed he was a lazy player. You have no standing to tell anyone they are wrong. Frost to his credit is developing into a fine player despite all the roadblocks put in his way.

Everything you have said about Frost for his entire career has been wrong.

Am I reading this right, Frost success is his and his alone but this misgivings are strictly his coach’s?

So Sanheim was a slash but the slash and cross check was not. York was hooked but he dove. No wonder the Bruins called out the red and call them sid calls

so speaking of offseason. contracts to be signed.

bellows- not qualified
cates- 2 year at 1.5-2?
frost- 2 year at 1.5-2?
york-3 year at 2-2.5

lemieux-2 year at 1.5

thoughts, to high too low. don't think anyone gets long deals but more prove it deals. cates first year, frost starting to play more consistently, york first full year, lemieux may just be a one year deal. but with rebuilding and what he has brought i liked his game. solid 3rd/4th liner, brings some grit and can skate well.

- Peter Richards

Frost has a good chance of finishing the year as a 20 goal/45 point player. He is getting 3.5 aav or more, especially in light of some recent deals signed. Filip Chytil comes to mind immediately. His AAV is 4.43 aav. And that is for 22 goals and 43 points.
