I think Hayes is as good as gone. It's just a question of how good or bad of a deal they make to do so. I also don't think they will deal Konecny. I think the players most likely to move are Hayes, Provorov and Hart.

we will be bent over a barrel, that's for sure.

and I agree 100%

How many times has someone fought two players in a row like that. I know it’s happened before just can’t remember who from the flyers. But also just in general. When was the last time that has happened?
- Peter Richards

I may be leight but domi once fought two guys at once and landed shots to each of their faces. I won't ever forget that fight as he skated backwards 😂

Let's not forget when he fought the guy in the stands who fell into the box. Who got the instigator in that?

All this talk about ND/Kastelic... but nobody mentioning how Farabee got Gerbe'd by DeBrincat?

I say Lemeiux could be back simply because I'm not sure how confident they are that Allison will remain healthy. And even a whiff of chemistry with Frost might be enough for them to at least give him an opportunity to make the team.

farabee needs to add strength back....but i actually think those two are the same weight class. don't think the fight was too lopsided.

Can't speak for soldiers in detail but can for the marines. i know the army has boot camp usually where their next taining is conducted. (what their MOS will be be.)

making sure it wasn't rhetorical.

I'm not interested in what actually happens in the military. I'm leading the discussion to what happens next in the context of the analogy as it applies to hockey.

The Flyers issue isn't and never has been a work ethic or an effort issue. They have a talent issue. If all Tortorella is, is a drill Sergeant to teach the basics. Then the Flyers have the wrong coach. He is okay for now, but if the Flyers are going to move into the realm of modern day hockey. They not only need a lot more talent. They'll also need a new coach eventually.

It wasn't rhetorical and it definitely wasn't about the military. It was in the context of how the analogy applies to hockey.

No he didn't. This is what I'm talking about. What is the point of your response here? I elaborated on what I was referring to. To promote discussion. How does what you posted above promote discussion?

Speaking of records... how many pages of arguing about ND fighting can we have today? I don't think anybody is swaying the opinion of anybody else on the topic.
I'd rather see arguing about frost (who is going to be a hell of a player, btw) over this fight. The game is over.
Let's argue about other irrelevant crap.

So it's been a small sample size but what do you guys think of Brink? He actually looked pretty good before his injury. I'm excited to see what he does next year after a healthy summer of training and building mass.
What other prospects are you excited to see? And why? Then we can argue about that, too!

That game where Emery fought Marty Biron then answered the bell vs Andrew Peters comes to mind:

I forgot about that!!!! Thank you for the reminder! Didn't the fan spray him with something or was that vice versa?!
Either way, domi always made a game interesting. I wish we had more of that personality in the league, along with more roenick's and ovechkins

could never remember what the army called it. always thought the branches should use the same terminology. had a kid from the army in my boot camp platoon. our D.I.'s tore him apart for the incorrect terms all day. it was hilarious.but no laughing.

A few clarifications of my analogy on your request:
As well as a drill sergeant’s, Torts’ job is very temporary with the troops he has been given. So, yes, I agree with you- he is not a long term coach
Flyers had had problems with effort and work ethics, that’s why they needed a reset. Young players, definitely, will benefit from getting this in the beginning of their careers.
After mission and attitude set in a boot camp the personnel moves on to learn/ participate in more complex/ elite assignments. But they move on understanding roles, responsibilities and goals.
Hope that helps understanding my analogy
