My guess is that unless they fall off a cliff over the next few games and need to win the last couple games...they are going to save him for playoffs. I assume we'll probably see about 7-10 days of him skating and testing out the leg before they're comfortable throwing him into a game.

I read something the other day that Taylor Hall is ready to play for the Bruins but they won't have the cap available until end of season to add him. Foligno too. If they Isles make the playoffs, I would not want to face the Bruins first round. This is not the same team the Isles beat 4-2 in the playoffs a few years back.

Realistically, I don’t think anyone is gonna beat them this year. But I’ll still be happy if the Islanders get to try.

If Sorokin does Sorokin things, we get Barzal back, horvat starts scoring, and our vet D men get their crap together we will be a tough out imo. Certainly not saying we beat the bruins but I am saying it may not be a walk in the park for them like I’m sure everyone will say if we play them.

I hear ya but that Bruins team is on another level and they have great goaltending too. Looking at the standings, the Devils have a legitimate chance of surpassing the Canes. That’s a matchup I’d like to see Isles v Devils first round. They’re super talented but young. Think Isles would matchup very well versus them. But like Schwein mentioned in above post, I’d just be happy to have playoff hockey so be happy with any matchup.

Agree with all of this but I’ll say if we’re healthy(knock on wood) and playing to our capabilities we match up well with anyone in the eastern conference besides the bruins who at this point nobody matches up well. I think the canes as well as they have been playing are not the same team that swept us a few years ago. Everything changes in the playoffs so I could be wrong it’s pretty unpredictable but this is what I’m sticking with.
