I miss the old Leafs in an Hour on the old Leafs channel, but I just discovered Blue Jays in Two Hours and Thirty Minutes - and I’m really enjoying watching it. The producers have cut out all that bullpoop of pitchers and catchers needlessly wasting time.

I bought Janice a matching belt and bag for her birthday... she should have that vacuum cleaner ready in no time.

Question to you fine fellas: (and it's probably dumb )

Since the Cap has been static for a few years and won't get much bounce for the next few years, can the Leafs sign Matthews to a deal that gets more expensive over the term to kinda amortize the total Cap hit to the later years???

Ie: Years 1-3 = $12m Cap but $15m pay, while years 4-8 = $15 Cap and $15m pay


Edit: I know the math is off, but conceptually is there a way to give him all the $ with a lower cap hit in earlier years until the cap actually rises and catches up to player pay.

The cap hit stays the same throughout the length of the deal. Matthews might want to sign a shorter deal though and then bump that number up in a new deal after maybe 3 years.

I was a catcher a lot in days as a kid. That on the knee stance is both stupid & he deserved it. Saves knees but makes more passes balls the pitcher gets as a wild pitch.

Bichette has a brain cramp in the field, instead of coming home with the ball he double clutches and goes to 2nd and they don’t even get the dp.

Then the Jays get some nice bounces top of 8th and are up now BUT does anyone else think there is perhaps an attitude issue with Bo? They just tied it and he runs right through the 3rd base coaches stop sign. Ya he scored but why does he think he doesn’t have to listen to the guys paid to coach? I hope someone speaks to him post game about it. Had he got gunned down at the plate it may have been a game changing brain cramp (another one).
