five-on-five scoring chance contributions (scoring chances plus scoring chance assists)
Nathan MacKinnon
Connor McDavid
Auston Matthews
Sidney Crosby
William Nylander - Zezel
That's pretty cool. Where did you get that stat? Was it just from Twitter?
There are a couple of more advanced stat sites, but because you can't see what they offer until you subscribe, I've been reluctant to do so. As a huge data dork, I would probably roll in some of these stats like a pig in mud, but I'd like to know what they offer.

If he play vs. Habs and get a trick would be most excellent but he should be playing for the Marlies on a pro tryout contract once he is done with his college season . |

If you look closely, his numbers for 3rd periods on Tuesdays during away games are sick.

Krieder played 18 playoff games before the minors
Caufield was given NHL games and a big playoff run, played a whopping TWO AHL games
Its part of a reason these guys sign out of college early, to play in the NHL and burn a year of their deals.
Gadureau, Hughes, Kreider, Caufield, Saad, Bjugstad, Bozak, Greenway, Jost, Mcavoy, Keller, Copp.
Just a few names. A whopping 2 AHL games before NHL played out of those guys, all by Caufield.
The majority of them leaving college and playing 1-10 games at the end of the season to burn a year and get in the NHL.
The hobey baker and Big 10 player of the year will get the same treatment.
Copp played 1 game at the last game of the season for a non playoff team for the Jets |

I'm pretty sure that I heard on the radio that Knies doesn't have a point in the tournament, and they think he may be nursing an injury.
Did I hear that correctly? |

He doesn't have a point, but he has reportedly played well. In the first game, Minnesota won 9-2 with 4 PPG. Knies was even with 3 shots on net. In the second game, they won 4-1. He had 2 shots, a penalty for interference and was +3 - and while not appearing on the score sheet, was apparently a contributor in maintaining puck possession and creating room for plays.
I think he will be a great addition to this team - just maybe not great this year.
