They're specialists at it actually. It's incredibly remarkable. Until they win a round, I can't ever expect them to do it.

How does anyone feel anything at all about Edmonton?

If we ever win a cup I’ll probably be the most obnoxious fan in the land. The next day I’ll be ordering vanity plates for the car.

Honestly, if we (Leafs but really us collectively) ever win a cup, i think the leafs thread would be busy for 24 hrs and then just empty out and be dead. We'll all be basking in the glow of victory/recovering and we'll have nothing left to talk/argue about. We'll simply be too giddy and/or it will be pretty close to summer time outdoor activity time.

Until July 1st.

Maybe because it’s time to get over something that happened almost 40 years ago. I don’t hear many Habs fans bringing up the seventies or islander fans talking about winning 4 straight in the eighties.

I wouldn't know, I don't take this stuff seriously. Over the years I realized this is just entertainment, no need to get emotional about this. It's all for fun and none of us have any impact on how our respective teams are doing.

They had horrible timing to get top picks also, getting the 1st overall in a poopty draft does not speed up your rebuild the way it would in a good draft year.

I enjoy chatting about hockey, a lot of good guys in this thread. I don't hate teams like some do, I like the sport, cheer for the Habs, hope they do well but won't lose sleep if they suck.
