Be nice to win the lottery, i do wonder though if the Blackhawks actually have a formula based on production and birthday relationship?

Korchinski was a surprise to me but he and Rinzel have late birthdays and KKs performance this year warrants where KD drafted him.

My son is a math major and he was reading a book about outliers and one of the examples was kids in Canada born between January and March had the best shot of being professional hockey players.

I coached youth sports for years. It is amazing that the kids with birthdates just before the age cutoff date for that level team excelled. Think of it this way. You have lived 3650 days when you just turn 10. If you are one day short of 11 you have lived 4014 days. The difference is almost 10%. You can be upto 10% more physically and mentally mature and you gain confidence playing against kids younger and slighter than you. The physical side evens out in your teens. But there is some carryover to the advantages. Of course this is just generally true and like all of these percentages there are the normal amount of exceptions.

Hey Hoser, I’m a cybernetic hero and tough guy of the first order.

P.K Subban made a great comment today. You can’t mandate people to be activists. I personally like the idea of the Pride pre game warm ups but at the end of the day it’s up to the individual. And I’m sure with the current political climate in Russia it’s best for Russian player to keep their heads down and mouths shut.

If the owners or management of the team want to express their opinions let them find a way to do it without imposing it on the players. If some or all of the players want to let them find a way to do it.
Also not expressing an opinion does not mean that you are against something. You may want to keep your opinions private. You may have not decided. You could be neutral. You could decide that an issue does not require or warrant taking a position. Nowadays it seems every person needs to have an opinion and needs to outwardly express it on every single subject, most of which they have not studied seriously or considered in depth. Not that uninformed people hesitate to give an opinion or act as if they are experts in the area.
