"There will not be a captain next year"
-Torts - MBFlyerfan
And when they hit a big losing streak next season, he will say. "We haven't found our identity yet, hopefully in my fourth year we will find it so my contract gets extended" |

Talk is cheap from the Flyers Front Office. It’s all lies until it actually happens.
And being in the building doesn’t matter, knowing a decision that goes against the advisors will bring phone calls and behind the scenes maneuvering is enough to steer the franchise from afar because no one in the organization had the gravitas to go against two hockey icons in Clarke and Barber. It needed to be a business decision and Scott was too busy stacking cups and ordering nacho cheese to fire hall of famers. |

Breaking News!
Briere hire new advisers Scott Hartnell, Mike Richards, Joffrey Lupul, Scottie Upshall and new head advisor Jeff Carter as the legion of poon returns to take over for the old regime. - SuperSchennBros
Imagine all those players from the initial Homer 'retool' along with G Danny, Gags, Coburn, Kimmo, Umberger and Bob and JVR... if they had just managed to find a top dman in the draft (Subban instead of Kevin Marshall or Carlson instead of trading the for Eminger, etc)... that was probably an eventual Stanley Cup team with some patience. Maybe even a dynasty.
Or it could have been a massive coked up disaster. |

That’s why they have to clean house. Aside from just about everyone being terrible at their job that is. |

Maybe a Finals appearance or even a Cup. No way that turns into a dynasty. They were still missing a lot of parts back then. |

Dunno, IIRC it was just mainly puck-moving defensemen and goaltending. And Bob would have solved the latter.

It's just amazing how dysfunctional this organization had/has become. Torts tells it like it is, so where there's smoke there is fire. He already ripped the medical staff and it's quite obvious that they have bungled some things the past few years. You really wonder how it got that bad. Hopefully the worst is over, but the recovery ain't gonna happen overnight. Has there every been a coach that was President of hockey operations? Torts says let me in!! |

They outplayed the powerhouse Hawks for much of the series, but couldn't get any stops from Leaky. They scored 5 goals on the road in game 1 and lost cause Leaky couldn't stop a beach ball, and I won't even mention the game 6 overtime winner by Kane.

I’m just watching the presser now. The Selke conversation and not knowing how to define it. Great example was bringing up the Norris. I’ve (frank)in hated how defensemen have been chosen for the Norris since like 2012? Since Lindstrom winning every year, I feel like the Norris is only just now getting back on track. I never thought Subban, Burns or Karlsson was ever truly deserving. |

I’m not in love with Branden Lemieux but I can’t put my finger as to why. He’s gritty. A relentless forchecker. He knows how to stir the pot. Doesn’t take very many penalties. I believe he’s on the pk. I don’t know why I’m not crazy about him. |

Stop what you’re doing and put on the Bruins game. I’m not trying to be funny whatsoever, but Jack Edwards sounds either drunk, on medication, or sadly having a stroke.
I am not exaggerating. |

Jack Edwards makes Coatsey look like an objective journalist. The guy is the worst homer in the history of homers. I can't stand listening to him for a minute. |

Frost just isn't an NHL player. They must trade him in the offseason.
