This is kind of what I meant. I think both players are very good. I do not have them on the same level as MacKinnon-Makar. - mickel25
Both legit 1st line players....as well as Zib/Fox...Crosby/Letang....Hughes..Herschier/ Hamilton |

It would be nice to move DeAngelo in the summer. However, another Ghost to AZ trade or even a buyout cannot happen. His cap hit will be gone by the end of next season. Make him an over priced 7th Dman. His roster spot will not be the reason the Flyers from being a Cup.contender. A good summer starts with moving Hayes with salary retained and not adding picks as sweetners. |

Agreed! This rebuild will take some time. There’s no need to give up anything to move or buyout contracts like Atkinson or Hayes or TDA. It’s not like the Flyers should be signing any long term high priced free agents. The only thing they need to worry about is extensions on current players they identify as keepers. Hopefully they make some space so if Zemula to Andreas push for a spot in training camp, they can play. Log jam and a lot of $ spent on defense and apparently RW.

Could you imagine moving Provy and Hart to the Sabres for Tage Thompson? I'm sure he has some sort of NMC and not sure the Sabres would do that deal. Thompson is part of their young core. But it's nice to dream. |

There is a big difference between the team Connor MacDavid joined and this Flyers team. The Flyers have a much better team first of all and a much better coaching staff. I think this Flyer's team is a top end center and a top pairing defenseman away from truly contending, I really do. They have everything else in place. - jd250
The Flyers currently are a bottom feeder. What difference is there? The Flyers coaching staff is mediocre at best. The Flyers are far more than 2 top players away.
I wish you would step back and stop posting emotionally and instead post rationally. This is just more of the same as when the Flyers were on the path to the cup under Fletcher. |

I don't know. The Oilers certainly have two of the best centers in the game, but they can't play defense. The Rangers have it and it hasn't translated for them. You need a deep team with high end talent and great goal tending to win in this league, and I do believe the Flyers have the makings of being one of those teams, if they can just get one or two top end players. Easier said then done I know. - jd250
Edmonton has 2 100+ point players. Another 90+ point player and another who is pushing 80 points. Are they there?
How many top players did last years Avalanche team have? |

Huh?
Unless you know something the rest of us do not, why would a player with a possible career ending injury put himself in the public spot light to please anyone? I look no further than Ray Emery in his first stint with the Flyers when he fell off the face earth. That injury was legit and he almost was unable to play again and didn’t play for along time even after leaving the Flyers. Seriously, if Ellis’ injury is real (frank) the fans. - SuperSchennBros
He is paid a salary to do a job with money that fans have paid to see him play hockey. If he isn’t going to or can’t play, he is still an employee and should attend every practice, meeting, and game. If he doesn’t like it he can retire, if not, show up for everything and be a good teammate and team ambassador. |

You do know that there is a CBA, correct? There is no reason why he should have to do that. Your position is not reasonable. |
