The Flyers need a legitimate #1 line and 2 top pair defensemen to add to what they have to be contenders IMO. How many years will that take? - Flybynight88

Ecstatic! That clown is gone. It’s been an unmitigated disaster since he came on the scene. Thank the stars! There is now hope. |

Because Ellis is causing the entire fan base aggravation. The least he can do is go to games and glad hand the ticket buyers and say hi to kids. Anything to return value on the commodity of cap space he is removing from the Flyers ability to hire talented players to win hockey games. - Shrike
In order for Ellis to be causing the entire fan base aggravation. He would have to have some control over being injured and not being able to play. None of that would return value.

Yeah, but eventually Razor made a comeback. I don’t judge Ellis for not being involved or in the spotlight, after all it is weird circumstances that he was traded to a new organization just before. I do think, no matter if it’s unlikely, that if he is still trying to comeback that they could do an update twice a year like happened this past year. Ellis talked after the season about his efforts, and in the fall, Fletcher said he wouldn’t be back this season.
If Ellis knows he can’t try anymore, I am sure there are ways to leak that to the fans so the updates aren’t necessary. - NC Flyers Fan
Honestly, do we need an update? I know I don't.

New Chairman is from Blue Cross. Perfect background for a team with Coots, Cam, & the corpse of Ryan Ellis. - daddytc

Really? You couldn’t figure this part out? With all of Foerster’s 8 games being played after the trade deadline and while Konency has been hurt for the last month? - SuperSchennBros
This summer. He should be traded this summer. Sounds like torts is a big fan of his. To me. Torts is running this whole ship. I think he’s going to have the final say in who stays and goes |

Saw this and thought maybe a Hayes Jones swap. But oh my…that Jones contract is possibly the worst one out there by a landslide. Makes me not care about Risto contract 😂 |

Looks like the Penwhines are gonna get into the playoffs since the teams chasing them are all going belly up. I wonder if Hexy keeps his job if the Pens get beatch slapped by the Brooooins in the first round of the playoffs? |

So, he wants Sanheim to be aggressive. Ristolainen to not be aggressive and he wants York to "roam". Three defenseman and he wants all three to play differently. Got it!

I pay little attention to what Tortorella says. He's a complete BS artist and pay more attention to what happens on the ice. - MJL

Congratulations to Coatsey on his retirement! Best times yet to come.
I hear, congrats to Scott also on his coming retirement. - NC Flyers Fan
Yes, congrats Coatsey! I know not everyone is a fan, but I've always enjoyed him despite his goofiness. Coatsey's Corner was great plus I'll miss hearing his familiar voice. Best wishes to him!
Lol. congrats to Scott! Thanks for being a big part in ruining our team! Good riddance, a$$clown!

What’s interesting is, Torts had Jones his entire Blue Jackets career and Seth Jones was good pretty much the entire time. I wouldn’t be surprised if Torts asked Provorov to be traded for Jones.
Obviously a bad deal considering Jones play, contract and the fact Provorov may still have decent value. I’m just saying Torts has had a positive influence on Jones. |

Yes, Ellis deserves his privacy, and it is a strange situation. At least he's making millions a year sitting home, so he's probably doing just fine.

Hexy had the keys to the castle. Could have done what he wanted as was proven again by the Patrick pick nonsense. He managed a middling team that was going nowhere. Good goalie, headcase, great flyer, avg to below avg gm. At the end of the day our d is a mess cause of him. Our goalie position is good to great partly cause of him, our o future is ok due to both 27 and Fletcher. He wasn’t terrible. He wasn’t good.
At least now he is currently destroying the pens, whatever. |

I would not be surprised at all if a couple players get moved this offseason. Provy/Laughton/Hayes/Hart. We shall see. How many GMs admit they they are going to tear it down. Always pay no attention to coaches/GM speak - bradster
I think Hart is a franchise goalie and it would be a huge mistake to trade him, no matter what the return is (except of course the Bedard pick). I also think it would be a huge mistake to trade Provorov because the Flyers have no one to replace his minutes at his level. Provey may not be great but he's solid and until the Flyers draft and develop a replacement, or have the cap space to sign his replacement, I think Provey should stay. Hayes is absolutely gone this off-season. I would entertain trading Laughton after the season he has had simply because you can see his replacement coming in Noah Cates. |

Great post. Agree on all. Konecny I can’t figure out why they wouldn’t trade him with foerster emerging - Just5
TK should not be traded IMO. This Flyers team lacks scoring so you want to trade the only legitimate 30 goal scorer on the team? Yes its quite possible that Foerster and Tippet emerge into 30 goal scorers but what is wrong with having 3 such players on your team? Drop in a strong center to play with Couts and you have a great top 6 that can compete with any team. Plus I can see TK wearing the 'C' or at least an 'A' on this team, and he plays the way Torts wants. All in all, I would keep TK if I can and just move Hayes and Laughton. |

You're confused. I comment on posts made by others using statements made by Tortorella. I don't factor in any comments made by Tortorella in forming my opinions on players or on the Flyers as a whole. He does not influence me. Apparently, you don't have it. |

That is false. Hextall did not have carte blanche to do whatever he wants. No GM does. Every GM answers to those above him. Every salary negotiation has to be approved by superiors. Every GM makes the final call on who to draft at the draft. To equate that with having the keys to the castle to do whatever he wanted is foolish.
At the end of the day the Flyers defense is a mess because of him? LOL. How was the defense when he took over? LOL |

Provorov is as gone as Hayes. Good chance Hart is moving also. |
