That's what I was thinking as well. Plus Sororkin's got great numbers vs CBJ. Tonight 2 points is a must. I thought Varly would be in goal tonight but I understand the decision. Sabres are playing Devils tonight so I'm sure tomorrrow night will be the battle of the backups and I like our chances with Varly
- Vukota

Sabres are still rolling three goalies as far as I'm aware. Anderson has the night off and they're dressing UPL/Comrie. We may see Anderson tomorrow who, somehow, has the best stats of the three of them

Gotta win at least one of the back to back so may as well start your best vs the weaker team
- Upstate_isles

Yeah said that in an earlier post that he may be trying to lock down the two points. Varly isn’t any slouch either though sometimes he’s a little slow after sitting for a while.

Little shocked with this decision. Lambert has played Sorokin in back to back situations before but kind of figured varly would be in there tonight. I’d rather play Sorokin tomorrow against a stronger team in the Sabres. Maybe he’s trying to lock down these two points tonight idk?

For the reasoning, I would refer you to...you

Big opportunity tonight.

You're right...this game tonight is a big opportunity...and maybe it sets the tone for tomorrow as well.

I could foresee a scenario in which Lambert goes with Varly tomorrow night if we win and Sorokin if we lose

Maybe. Pretty certain the last time he played Sorokin back to back we actually won both games recently if I’m remembering correctly?

Lol, funny enough, just watched the Spano 30-for-30, I’m still mind blown I didn’t know about it. I knew a lot of that stuff already, but I didn’t know how deep it actually got. Actually, pretty well done doc. Like most of those, the subject matter isn’t important, one of the best series’ ever for documentaries.

And, the Vancouver riot, all I remember was the gif of the meathead in the Canucks jersey doing push-ups next to a burning car. Hell, I saw it on these boards. Good times.

What’s absolutely astonishing is how far he got with respect to banks lending him money solely based on the fact that said he made big money in oil. Nobody vetted him?!?!

Yup, especially when the Islanders' skaters get off to one of their patented slow starts.

Dobson needs to wake up. He's missed a couple of plays already including a chance to spring Engvall in all alone

Hes clearly the team mvp and the main reason they make the playoffs if they do. No one wants to face the isles in round one in fact nhl radio had the isles as the one team Boston wants no part of if they get in
