He's scoring at a 35 goal pace as an Islander. They'd be FOOLS not to give him more.

What's the Fanatics story here?

In my experience, an inferior manufacturer compared to Adidas or Nike. I hope they raise their standards for the official jerseys.

Cheap, badly made products which will become expensive, badly made products when they get the NHL exclusive rights

How do you make the beef before you shred it?

I got a smoker last summer, and I've done a ton of pork shoulders, but still haven't done a brisket.

- Atomic Wedgie

I use a chuck roast for chili and tacos.
I have a Bradley smoker that I use with any variation of Bradley or Weber grill recipes I find online. Low and slow, just like your pork shoulder. And beef ribs…oh my lord!

There was some leftover beef chili and leftover ham and Ms. Z put them together because that lady is crazy for ham.

Also savoury corn muffins, (frank) yeah.

- Zezel

Nice! I freaking love leftovers.

Meh, not bad apparel. I know wedgie hates them, but they're probably made by the same kids that made the addidas ones.
I buy any jerseys usually off a guy in mississauga....so no impact to me.

- Fakepartofme

They will actually be the exact same as the Adidas ones for a few years - same materials, made in the same factory.

I'll find a link.

Weirdly, my work blocks ESPN on my computer - but seemingly no other sports websites.

Anyhoo, google ESPN Greg Wyshynski Everything you need to know about the NHL-Fanatics deal

Adidas factory for jerseys it sells is in Indonesia. Jerseys worn by players are made in Canada. Some guy tried to sue Adidas saying arguing that the jersey he bought was supposed to be authentic. He lost but judge never ruled on the substance of his argument.

Wow, Fanatics is going to be making the NHL jerseys.

Glad I got an Adidas before this happened. Not going to be buying another one until Fanatics is out of the picture.

- Zezel

10 year deal with Fanatics apparently so you will be a decade before a new jersey.

By they they will be so space age that if you spill beer or mustard on your jersey the cleaning bot that lives in the collar of the jersey will just come out and clean it up.

I just got a new white one, and my blue one is in good shape. Hopefully I won't be following hockey in 10 years.

This is perfect.
When i was in my late teens, after pub or "club" night in downtown Guelph, i would stagger on over to the only hot dog street vendor available and make a purchase. I love mustard, but no matter how hard i tried or drunk concentrate i never made it home or finished the dog(s) without getting mustard somewhere on me. Some nights i would claim victory over the mustard only to wake up the next morning to see some hidden somewhere on the previous nights apparel.
Good times.

COL (8/32), CAR (3/32), and OTT (7/32)have all averaged a higher shots per game than TOR (15/32) this season. Would be indeed be interesting to see if the NYI (16/32) can outshoot the Leafs tonight. By the way Leafs have been top-10 all season for shots against and NYI have been in the bottom half of the league all season

It'll be an indicator. At 5v5 the Leafs haven't been absolutely shelled, but they haven't been typical. I mean the Sens outshot us by 16 at 5v5, but 13 of those were Low Danger shots - and they scored 0 LD Goals, which is pretty typical. The Canes outshot us by 11 at 5v5, but 10 of those were either LD or MD shots (6 LD) (although both of their goals were from LD shots that went in - by Necas and Skei). Against the Avs the shots were a difference of 4 - and they had 4 more LD shots.

I wouldn't say that the Leafs are being dominated at 5v5 in terms of shots getting to the net. The Leafs are blocking lanes, forcing shots wide or blocking them. We're being out-Corsi'd to death, but in terms of where it counts, we've been pretty even.

What has killed us of late is the penalty differential. 3-2 for Ottawa, 3-1 for Carolina, 5-3 for Colorado, 3-1 for Buffalo, we had the advantage 5-3 against the Oilers, but it was 4-2 for Jersey before that . . . In the last 10 games, we've drawn fewer penalties than the opposition 7 times. Prior to that we were sitting on a slight advantage. Over the course of the year we have drawn more penalties than our opponent 28 times, fewer 29 times, and the same amount 12 times.

It has a real impact on the flow and momentum in a game and I've noticed it a fair bit in the past several games for sure.

Good lord I wish I had that for my Darcy Tucker jersey I bought at Square One (Mississauga) back in 2000. That bugger had blood, beer, oil, and diesel stains plus holes from cigarette burns coupled with autographs from Cujo and Ron Ellis when the Leafs were at Rexall.

Hell yes.

Only it would be after after-work drinks in my 20s, and I ruined more than a couple of ties.

By then the Leafs will have won a bunch of Cups and be rebuilding; I'll turn my attention fully to collectible vintage toasters and waffle irons.

I look forward to complaining to all the young kids on this site that the Leafs' seven consecutive Stanley Cup Championship parades were all crap compared to the Toronto Argos' 1982 ticker tape parade down Bay Street I attended, when businesses threw shredded paper out the windows of the office building.

Back then, you could get a bottle of Coke for 15 cents, and a chocolate bar for a quarter...

Saw a guy in Florida last week rocking an Argos jersey, the football boat one. I was jealous.

It's funny - after not caring for the Argos for 25 years, I want to go to games again.

I tried to get some guys on my street to go, but we could never settle on a game that fit everyone's schedules.

Then my 14 year old daughter declared that she was a Saskatchewan Roughriders fan (yeah, I have no idea) so we were all set to go to a game. Except the Argos' "home game" against them was held in Halifax.

This year, for sure.

Or maybe next year...

Was more of a family visit, didn't make it to the beach even, so no John's Pass... summertime maybe

Was hoping the Leafs would be in town. We could have seen Tampa but it was the night we arrived.

Have watched the Argos a few times the past couple years, a woman I used to work with (we were both laid off a couple weeks ago) is the mother of a CFL punter (might be former now)
