ill just convince myself they are bored and just waiting for the playoffs to really ramp things up..these meaningless games are hard to get excited for

thats what I am telling myself...

- senstroll

or maybe the top guys are just trying not to get hurt (more than they are now) before the playoffs.

The fact that Morgan "Kaberle" Rielly has scored 2 goals is pretty mind blowing.

He's just warming up for his Conn Smythe playoffs drive.

Somebody needs to sit him down and tell him to quit worrying so much about the defensive side of the game.

He needs to take more chances.

Quit being stapled to the blue line when we have the puck in the opposition's end.

Not be afraid of making high-risk passes when he's the last guy back.

A few years, this occurred in one my softball games. Only i was the runner and there was an overthrow to the 3rd basement which allowed me to get home.
Thanks to my speed and some lack of awareness by the defensive team, i pretty much turned a single into a makeshift homerun with an error.

Can confirm it happens about 4 times a game in little kids' softball.

It's weird: little kids' hockey - when they are all franking useless - is cute and fun to watch.

Little kids' softball is torture to watch.

My wife coached our kids. The number one rule was "no doing cartwheels in the outfield."

Ya depending on the age it can be tough to watch and tough for the kids to pay attention
A certain ages the ball just never leaves the infeld.
When i lived by High Park, once in a while id grab a few pints and go watch the little tourneys on the weekend with the ex gf. But these kids were 12 ish and good players.

Yeah. We were the team in the field that could turn a bunt into a home run by overthrowing the ball and then overthrowing it again and again - despite there being 0% chance of getting the runner even if the throw was perfect.

I was the captain, and I'd be yelling something like, "Just eat it . . .awww, don't, just . . awwwww, hold it . . .awwww. FUUUUUU----"

Being fair, that team was founded in a bar because we already drank together on Thursday and Friday nights and were looking for an excuse to add Wednesday to the list. Being able to play softball was such a low priority it wasn't even tertiary.

When my son was about 5ish, he started on blastball, which is precursor to tee ball. It's tee ball, but first base has a horn in it so when the kids step on it, it "meeps" at them. A lot of the other rules were simplified, and I think you could only throw to first . . .very basic stuff.

But I remember the first time my son took the infield, just starts shuffling his feet in the gravel, "Look, Daddy! I'm making steam!"

Oh. God. Coaching that age is impossible!

You know what's embarrassing?

Leafs Nation tonight.

With that horrible loss to a desperate team, we are now only on pace for a 109 point season.

We're currently 4th in the league.

Our magic number is 18 to lock up home ice advantage in the first round.

That means that if we go 7-5 for the rest of the year (58% win% - we are currently at 66%), then Tampa needs to go 8-1-1 (85% - they are currently at 63%) to catch us.

And we are doing this without a recent Conn Smythe and Selke winner, who is coming back soon.

But forget about everything I just typed - let's hear how this is a terrible team, our defence sucks (5th in the league in GA/GP), our goalies suck, this team has no heart, they can't win, waffles, Courtnall for Kordic, Yolanda Ballard, waffles.

Seriously, you motherBozakers, this is why we can't have nice things.

Good take^

TB lost to Montreal in regulation

It is garbage time for these teams...I do hope they muster up a solid run in the last 5-10 games though

Obviously not as big as our new friend here who I'm guessing owns the New York Rangers, or at least has sex with supermodels.
