They were top 12 for xGF% for a good chunk of the season overall. I think they were around 20-22 for xGA as well if I’m not mistaken and hovering around 49.5-50 xGF.

The last 15-20 games when teams started to trap them prior to the Dallas gamethey had a lot of trouble, also coincided with the kid line going cold and eventually being split up all together.

The past 8 games remind me of when the team stared 7-3, just not getting results. They have put together strong stretches, just need to be more consistent.

Oh, and not get the worst goaltending in the league

They have a playoff caliber forward core and top end of the defense.

The fact that they screwed up the bottom of the D and goaltending so badly that they won’t make the playoffs is infuriating.

Expected stats. Anyone who watched the Bruins game and thinks the Sabres were the better team just with worse goaltending needs to return their eyes. And, then in the Nashville debacle, the Preds just coasted through the 3rd period because they had already won the game. (And that was a Preds team sans Roman Josi)

I apologize if this is old news, but I just saw it yesterday. The NHL announced that it signed a 10-year deal with Fanatics to be its new jersey manufacturer, replacing Adidas. I'm not much of a jersey/memorabilia collector, but the ones that I've seen hate this move.
