2010 cup roster was what I posted above.

Their only trade was Patrick sharp for a scratch off ticket,

Campbell and Hossa were free agents.

- Swedish_Jesus

And goddamn Eric Comrie was the Sabres prized offseason addition.

A cup win is a cup win.

Landeskog, Rantenen, Mackinnon, Makar, Byram, Newhook, Erik Johnson, were all homegrown.

They acquired Toews, Kadri, Lehkonen without giving up a first rounder or a top prospect.

Nichuskin was a free agent.

Yet we will burn Adams at the stake because he doesn’t want to move his top prospects or first rounder this year ?

There will be moves to be made in the offseason that won’t require moving the moon and the stars

- Swedish_Jesus

No, because he added Comrie and said "my work here is done".

But when the Sabres wanted to acquire Chychrun, which they pretended they wanted to do, AZ wanted the moon.

Why is that changing this offseason?

Granato said Greenway is not fit for how they need him to play, so it wouldn't be appropriate to play him tonight. He is injured.

Is this just a nice way of saying that Greenway is acting like a massive Fajina? Not playing tough?

The whole team. 2-7-2 in the last 11. No one, not a single Sabre has looked good. The top line is certainly most noticeable because we're used to 3+ points a night between those three guys.

Dahlin no points in like 10 games is a backbreaker for us. He is our offense. If he's not getting an assist every night something is wrong

- lacaprup

Are the Sabres on strike bc they traded Rasmus Asplund? Was he best buds with someone like Dahlin??

Should be more of a buyers market.

Cap ain’t moving much, and teams will be more willing to trade which should lead to more supply on the market.

I think the trade deadline was the beginning of a trend that will continue into the offseason.

With a hard flat cap there will only be so many avenues to improve your team.

Glad Girgensons has done anything with Krebs taking a beating all period. Leadership!!!
- Buff36

What’s the difference between Girgensons and Matt Ellis the player?

Try hard act has gone stale! Get rid of the loser! Should have been gone when they got rid of that Russian guy who lied about his age and fell to 12 in the draft. Can’t even remember his name.

This oft-repeated myth that Kevyn is “doing it the right way” has to die along with the Sabres season. Adams recognized this team needed help. We know this. We know that he tried to swing for a big piece. He couldn’t pull it off, and went to plan B, or C or whatever Greenway was. So if you’re invoking that myth in your argument, know that what you’re really defending is not some grand plan, but rather just another one of the guy’s failures.

Nazem Kadri, Andre Burakovsky, Valeri Nichushkin, Devon Toews, all well known Avs draft picks.

Artturi Lehkonen was added late last season and had 14 points in 20 games in the playoffs.

Landeskog was 29 when they finally had success, are you willing to wait 7 more years(Dahlin is in his 22 year old season) for the Sabres to have success?

- Wetbandit1

(frank)kkkkkk am i going to say it? avS got a cup rebuild and came back strong before the sabres could get back in playoffs IN 12 YEARS. SHAAAAT DA FUKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK AUPPPPPPPPP

Peterka-Cozens-Quinn have played 326 minutes together and have an xGoals% of 56.6%.

Good for 37th in the entire league for line combinations with a minimum of 150 minutes played together.

Last time I checked, there are 32 “first lines” in the NHL.

There have been 200-300 different forward line combos give give or take across the NHL this year ?

The kid line ranks 37th…..

Trading for Bishop on June 10th and the reasoning they shared behind making that move so early was alarming to anyone paying attention.

It was a real kick in the balls.

I said they have been a legitimate second line in the NHL this year, which they have been.

But hey hey Dylan Cozens is no Spencer Knight and the Sabres should have never given Quinn or Peterka the opportunity to have “‘no impact this year right?”

Rofl... will quinn or peterka hit 20 goals? I'll save you the paragraph of bullpoop telling me how no one expected either to do this, and just give you the answer: no. You act like either one of them is in the Calder conversation.

Explain exactly what "impact" theyve had? (and I'd like to see a link to where I supposedly said they had "no" impact this year. I think you're lying)We're a bottom feeder team again. Are we going to finish higher than last season? Have they had more impact than Vic who has - literally - twice as many goals as Quinn?

If you weren't constantly trying to do two things in every post:
1. Convince yourself being bìtchslapped around the league for the 12th season in a row is a good thing and
2. Convince everyone else there is smart way to win that only expected statistics show...
you'd be able to see the top line, Dahlin, Power, and Cozens are the only impact players on the roster. And, often enough, all of those players impact negatively defensively this season as well. Now, they're all more positive than negative, but none of them have had a flawless season or even anything close now that we've gotten to March 22nd.

Everyone else on the team..... yeah it aint so great.

But, hey, buddy you're the one thinking rookies can be saviors. Not me. I understand no rookie saves a team, which is why I know Savoie and Kulich mean nothing whatsoever to next season, and it's even laughable to think Savoie will be a Sabre next season. Please keep talking about him.

Put up 100 more posts this year about a kid in the WHL who couldn't even make the U20 team, isn't even leading his own team in scoring, no where near the league lead in points, and is not going to be a Sabre next year.

Yet one rookie has 4 less points than Olofsson while being a positive player, and the other has 9 less points and is only a -7, while you keep bringing up Olofsson who scores goals and is a -27 and horrible defensively. Yes I think the Rookies have had as much if not more impact than the blackhole.

Do you really think assists, which can happen twice on every goal, count as much as goals? Really?

And should any Sabres +/- mean anything with our goaltending? Honest question.

I used Vic because he is reviled by the fanbase, yet has more goals than Quinn and Peterka combined. Would you have liked me to use the Z train instead?

There Rookies, no they don't count as much, but they count. Olofsson has scored 22 of his goals in a 26gm binge, 8 of those goals were either empty net or we were winning by 4 or losing by 5 goals. Vic shows up for 25 games a year and is non existent for the other 57.

Lol at trying to say Vic's goals count less because of what games theyre in. Just lol. Have you gone through every goal every player has and seen when and what game they scored? Until you do, Vic has 26, Quinn 13, and Peterka 9.

I know they're rookies. You don't. Peg's doesn't. You're the one treating them like they can carry a team. Not me. I'm treating them like they're rookies and they're not going to carry us. In fact, they can't carey us to the same effect Vic can at this point.

You're also assuming kids with 0 NHL games are going come in and carry us somewhere next season. It’s sad and laughable. If we don't bring in multiple veterans we're not going anywhere.

Wouldn't that make a player being a positive plus/minus more relevant, not less, considering the horrendous state of Sabres goaltending?

I don't know. I think a lot of the minus comes in total blowout games, which the Sabres have many, and they are unevenly distributed. Last nights game is a good example.

Your question is irrelevant to what I asked. I have no idea what you mean.

I asked a very simple question and you respond with a question.
