It’s the hockey version of “you need to run and stop the run”.

I stopped at “theyre already a legitimate second line”

Someone hasn’t been watching for a while

Peterka-Cozens-Quinn have played 326 minutes together and have an xGoals% of 56.6%.

Good for 37th in the entire league for line combinations with a minimum of 150 minutes played together.

Last time I checked, there are 32 “first lines” in the NHL.

There have been 200-300 different forward line combos give give or take across the NHL this year ?

The kid line ranks 37th…..

Dude idc. You haven’t watched them lately. They’ve been awful.

They’re routinely passing up prime shots and are a leaky sink in their own end.

And Peterka was just sat.

They’re not a legitimate 2nd line

This team would get destroyed in the playoffs.

The least physical team in the league who lets anyone stand in front of the net.

Destroyed.

If you don’t get the theme by now, that’s on you.

Sometimes, it’s better to wait for the prospect to develop.

Win-now trades blow up in your face more often than not.

The Islanders beating Toronto.

Imagine losing Tuch and still winning? Oh wait they gave up.

Islanders lose Barzal and are winning more.

How many people laughed at the Islanders for trading for Horvat....all of you?

Brining up outliers doesn't really make your case.

ROR was a win now trade for St. Louis.

Remember when the Kings ruined their franchise and rebuild acquiring Kevin Fiala and Philip Danault, and made moves at goalie when they already had a bunch of good prospects and picks.

No way their top 10 in the standings if I go look

ROR is the outlier.

And good thing the Blues won the cup cause giving up Tage Thompson for a 32 year old that now plays for the Toronto Maple Leafs is yikes.

So are you saying Tampa trading for Jeannot is bad?

Or Boston trading for Orlov and Hathaway?

Thank god you are nowhere involved in this franchise.

This team had to acquire Ben Bishop to hit the cap floor because they're too cheap to pay for real players.

Donnie has resurrected the careers of multiple Sabres, and yes, he will likely go down with the ship, but this isn't on him imo.

He will take the blame for the cheap owners who won't invest in this team.

- Hank Balling

Trading for Bishop on June 10th and the reasoning they shared behind making that move so early was alarming to anyone paying attention.

It was a real kick in the balls.

Leaky in their own zone? Peterka was +1 tonight, Cozens and Quinn 0. That's hard to do when losing 7-3. Sabres defense and goaltending sucked, kids line defense did not suck. Ignoring stats ........
