I would love him to remain owner but only if he commits to actually trying to win the cup...

So, its gonna be all day again today....

Wonderful.

Maybe try and bring up a point?
Instead of sniveling in every post?

After 12 years, there has to be something to be said about Pegula as an owner. He's either incapable of turning this team into a successful one, or he just doesn't really want to. Neither answer is good for the fanbase.

No

KA,'s fault for not having what defenseman depth to give the Sabres the ability to trade?

So each gm in the league needs an equally balanced line up to make a trade?

You're pushing a narrative

- Boss34

What D prospects do we have, what D that is young and are you willing to trade. We have Johnson who with his threat to not sign is not worth it to teams that want a young plug and play D Samuelsson but your not trading him because you weaken a weak area already. Fiala a young D was traded, Timo a Young D was traded. I am not pushing anything other than we Don't have any or that Adams is willing to move.

I think
1- you cant just throw money at it
2- he cant hire the right people
3- it was always just an investment for him
4- can you know throw him in the ring for worst owners in sports?

They are sitting in a wildcard spot right now with average goaltending.

That’s the truth.

He’s not wrong.

UPL and Comrie statistically are two of the 10 worst goalies in the entire league.

Substitute a few names and such and this blog perfectly sums up where the Ducks are with cheap penny pinching owners and a Rookie GM with no clue.

After 10 years, you separate the past few years under this management group.

I still blame eichel more then terry for the years eichel was here unsuccessfully.

The pegula's deserve some blame of course.

Can you blame them for running a fiscally responsible business ?

Trade for this guy, sign this guy, meier, we have room 😭

Ok , so now we dont have enough defenseman to trade for another forward? At the deadline?

Doesnt matter that we have 4 (1st) round prospect at forward the past 2 years?

You complain about useless things, in addition to the already ridiculous things.

Clearly the Sabres have 3 top defensman already and have an offensive system designed to outscore the opponents....

I keep trying to tell myself this but after 12 years of losing, it's tough. We're headed in the right direction, but it'll take more than a few good draft picks to get us where we want to be. Based on the TDL, I'm not sure managment is able to identify players that can help...frightening times.

They're losing money because their product stinks. Playoff ticket sales help fix that a lot, it also helps gaining more season ticket holders, and having a team that is a playoff team helps sell single game tickets as well.

The Sabres are in the bottom of the league in attendance in fact based on percentage, they are second last only beating the San Jose Sharks.

The Sabres lack of being relevant, lack of putting a real product on the ice is the reason that the Pegulas are losing so much money.

This season could be the first full season since Pegula took over that the Sabres could actually finish above .500. That is a complete failure from ownership.

Let's repeat some BS that you said 13 years ago and see how genuine or accurate you were.

The Bill's seem to be doing just fine.

Odds on favorites to win the superbowl last year.

This should be goood.....

I am really good at running a hockey rink, I should be really good at running a golf course right?

Just because Pegula has a successful football team (that still can't win the big one), doesn't mean he can run a successful hockey team.

I feel like this type of post is the patient telling the doctor how the surgery works.

I get the game, I bought 410 regular season tickets this year. Only have 21 left..... it's a juggling game , believe me.

If you can separate the past few years with the current management group, you cant just wave a magic wand and win in hockey. Football is different in regards to turning franchises around quicker.

How exactly to you expect to fast forward the age of the youngest team in the league?

Power isn't able to even legally drink yet.
Blame the pegulas?

Absolutely, very good point.

Some of this crying posts were blaming them for being terrible owners, which I felt like , encompassed the Buffalo Bills too.

If you separate the 2 sports. 1 they are exclusive, 1 they suck.

I feel like the eichel years help shade false blame.

Separate this season though, what could have we done?

Thirtysixensons ' this team?

Crouse
Bear
Meier
Chryrun

Why bring this up? He meant it. It hasn't worked out. It isn't for lack of trying.

Every single swinging d!ck in here and around Buffalo was ecstatic when he started to bulk up the scouting dept, build a new dressing room, training facility, cafeteria, throw money at (seemingly) good players, spend to the cap every year, etc etc etc.

They've tried a gazillion different ways to fix this. Coaches, GM's, young players, old players, front office shake ups, etc etc etc

For a number of reasons, it hasn't worked out. But this insinuation by yourself that he hasn't spent the money is false.

And don't point out that he hasn't spent it the last few seasons. There was zero reason to. They were rebuilding. By many reports, scouts were taking advantage of the owners. Good on them for firing their asses.

Are they good people? Definitely conflicting reports. But they've spent the money.
