IMO the biggest sign that this Team is moving in the right Direction and players are on board with what's happening. Is if Rasmus Dahlin signs a Contract Extension before next season and doesn't say let's wait another season and see where we are at.

Dahlin will leave. He realizes there is no commitment from management to actually try to win a Stanley Cup.... Brace for it...

KA will sit in his hands with Dahlin. A smart GM would start getting offers to hedge his bet and have Dahlin make the next move. KA will not.

Probably the 5th time in the past 2 months I've left a game early. Great feeling in the stands being completely surrounded by the other teams fans and completely embarrassed on the ice. The building is a disgusting dump and the in-game experience has to be the worst in the league. Gluttons we are. On days like yesterday, I don't blame any of you for not wanting to spend a dime in KBC. The only thing we got to cheer about yesterday was a disallowed goal and the Cozens fight.

Speaking of Cozens, good on him for stepping up and handling himself against a legit heavy in Frederick. Only guy on our team that seemed to have had enough of guys running Dahlin EVERY game. If I were 26, I'd want to bail.

Nice to see Cozens step up, someone had to. But Dahlin brings some of it on himself, he isn't shy.

What's the Biggest on Ice Need that would help this team grow and take the next step, and not Goalie!!
There D and more importantly the Team Defense really needs to improve. We are Horrible below the Dot and along the Boards. Some of that will be helped with the Forwards that will be coming in Kulich Savoie Nadeau Rousek who all have strong 200ft games. Adams needs to work on the D portion of this equation.

1 to 2 d men needed.

1 to 2 defensive Larries needed. Can Greenway learn to be a defensive guy that makes a hit. Or is he going to be a big ole nansmy pansy. I’ll give him some time.

An actual NHL goalie.

An actual NHL goalie coach, go find Irbe

An actual NHL defensive coach. Where’s that development defensive coach guy. Did he leave?

Some of this is "system" related. Under Granato's system, the forwards either can't or just simply don't play defense very well. Maybe that's not the worst thing in the world, because this team has been one of the highest scoring in the league, but when the scoring goes cold, your defense and goaltending is left on an island. The pass the forward group gets from this fanbase is mind-boggling. Outside of the Thompson line, and Cozens on most nights, "sub par" is a generous term. Guys like Quinn and Mittelstadt have shown flashes, but have not been anywhere near consistent enough on a regular basis.

Yes, but Arbitration Eligible and his QO is 7.2mill which shouldn't be a problem but do you really want it to get to that.

Well said, "My advice to Sabres fans would be this: Don’t get angry. This organization doesn’t give a flying you-know-what about you or their product."

I've been angry at them for too long, at this point I expect Pegula might be trying to sell asap.

Let us get this straight…we have to pay more next year for zero increase in performance or results? PLUS we are the youngest and lowest salary cap team. Why the need for more from fans if we get less and less each year? The cap savings alone should lower ticket prices. This team is posturing like Pegula wants to sell soon hoping a stocked cupboard of young guys and cheap salary will make the value increase.

if I told you before the season started

anderson, tage, skinner, tuch, cozens, dahlin and power would put up these numbers
casey, quinn and peterka would put up these numbers
and olofsson would score this many goals

everyone would expect us to be a mid 90 point team

team could finish 13th in the east with less than 82 points

The Season Ticket prices are essentially mandated by the CBA if you want to participate in Revenue Sharing. This is the price (no pun intended) of being in the big leagues. Buffalo has long been a city that wants to be considered a major league, but wants to pay minor league prices.

Yes and No. His fault for not having the prospects or Depth at certain positions to do a trade. But I don't blame him for not using our Forward Depth to overpay for players either.
- Buff36

No

KA,'s fault for not having what defenseman depth to give the Sabres the ability to trade?

So each gm in the league needs an equally balanced line up to make a trade?

You're pushing a narrative
