Can someone give briere bill guerin’s number so he can talk about how to cut the cord on players immediately.
Coots ( if possible)
Cam
Tk
Laughts
Provie
Sanheim (if possible)
Hart
Hayes (if possible)
Risto ( I know I know)
Tony Richard
Get rid of all of them. Most can be traded for some good assets.
Some probably need to retain salary ( who cares)
Some may need to be bought out.
Cut the damn cord
Watching the really young should be enough to sell to the base. York bee trees tip ersson cutter brink etc.
Minnesota did it. - SMS4016
While its not ideal that they have almost 15 million in dead cap space for the next two seasons after this current one, they are in still in better shape simply because they didn't sign players in their stead to many long term high dollar contracts. |

I am now a James Reimer fan - corduroy
So provie is not the only one. |

Provie got the most attention because he was the first. There were many others. I wonder if EJ Hradek will call for Reimer to be deported? |

Interesting. Maybe I wasn’t paying attention to the others as I didn’t see/hear it. |

Provorov is definitely better than Sandeim and it's more probable that he gets back to form vs Sandheim becoming consistent. I suggest it's critical to trade Sandheim this offseason before his NTC clause kicks in. . .absolutely terrible contract with too much CAP, Term, and the completely unnecessary NTC. If the plan is to truly reshape (rebuild) the roster then Sandheim has to go for whatever draft pick(s) they can get even if it's just a 2nd. . .may even be a contract that's not reasonably movable.
Hayes has gotta go too in a trade eating +/-$2M for 3-years rather than a buyout costing $1.6M of dead space for 6-years. Hayes can absolutely bring assets at a CAP of $5M.
Tony D is movable for assets next season on an expiring contract based on other teams injuries during the season or, at least, by the deadline eating 50%.
They can dramatically improve their cap situation quickly with decisive moves. Ellis will be on LTIR so they'll get relief there. The snake-in-the-woodpile is if Couturier and/or Atkinson can play (and contribute). The status of these 2 players could determine a <10 or >10 draft position next year. Uphill climb for the new GM. . . |

A trade of Hayes should depend on the return. If they can retain salary and get a quality return, then make the deal. If they have to give up assets to move Hayes, then don't deal him. They don't have to trade Hayes. No reason to put themselves in that position. This team isn't going anywhere in 3 years. They can easily ride out the contract and then move him for whatever you can get if he is still a viable player. |

I wonder if we could make a deal centered around Hayes and Rico.
Rico is UFA after next yr. And if you guys kept a Mil. that would put each at 6. We could use Hayes as a stop gap until the F corps gets better and he is 3 yrs younger than Rico. He seems to score enough to convert some apples from Z.

Flyers won't have to sweeten any deal for Hayes beyond the CAP relief. . .the assets we get will be commensurate with how much CAP we eat. Hayes is still a very good player (it's the contract that stinks).

Provorov should be better than Sanheim, but he's often not... because he's makes a lot more dumb mistakes on the regular. No idea what he was doing last night on the Necas goal. What an idiot. |

He was trying to do too much and got drawn away from the net. It's a symptom of his overall Flyers career in my opinion.

Rico? Is that Adam Henrique? I don't know anything about his injury but if he's healthy I would do that deal in a heartbeat. Won't happen. . .but I can dream.
I wouldn't be surprised if Hayes goes to Columbus or the Bruins (unless they win it this year). |

If Danny doesn't address the Provy situation this team will continue to go nowhere.

If Provorov is surrounded by the right players on the right team, he'll be fine. He just can't be the player to anchor a defense on a poor team. Or even a good team for that matter. He's more Robin than Batman. |
