Good for you man! This one sure beats my first ever MSG game Nov 1... 1-0 over the Flyers with 4 or 5 posts lol. Hope you soaked it all in just walking around and enjoying the game experience!

U saw the Schneider play? I could be wrong bc they didn’t show a replay, but it certainly didn’t look accidental to me. That’s a dangerous play like that so close to the boards, lucky Schneider didn’t get hurt.

I agree with this. I don't think the Rangers are going to take kindly to the liberties Joseph was taking. Not sure if a fight will ensue, but I guarantee the Rangers take notice when he is on the ice and make sure they finish their checks. You don't just get to run around like a scumbag and not pay the price.

Really great game last night. Our fourth line has come such a long way from the disaster it was before the TDL. I would love to resign Motte. He just fits like a glove with this team.

The more I see Tarasenko play, the more I want to resign him too. His and Zibs chemistry is undeniable. Also, I love how vocal he is. Every time the camera cut to him yesterday on the bench, he is always talking to Zib and Bread, strategizing and talking about what they can do better. I think resigning him over 88 may be the move, but we shall see.

The kid line will score some points. I'm not all that worried. Their puck possession is fantastic. Hopefully the puck luck starts happening right as playoffs start. GG has his lines, now don't change them!!!

On to Saturday!

Figures the only game that the Rangers don't get called for a single penalty is Tony's 1st trip to MSG! Now he has to find a way to extend his trip so he can go to Saturday's game too!

But, I love how lethal our PK is!! Wish we could be a little more steady overall, but we get HDSC for essentially every time.

I was grinning the whole night. From STREET MEAT earlier in the afternoon, to Joe's pizza on Broadway, to the game itself and the atmosphere it provided it was a perfect night!
...and now back to reality in the airport.

Tarasenko is still just 31 so he can get another pretty big contract on the open market. Would love him back but don’t see it as financially possible. Kane only wanted to play for the rangers so think there is a much greater chance he comes back on a team friendly deal

Doing okay. I see positive signs for this team. Still some areas that need remediating, including curbing giveaways, but much better the last few games

For sure. I do think Tarasenko is enjoying his time here, but there will no doubt be teams ready to throw big money at him in July.

Joe’s is up there for best slice in the city. Happy you got to try it! My old office was around the corner from the Broadway location and it was a staple in our lunch rotation from the day it opened, especially after team happy hours lol.

The Carmine St location (the original) is next level. There’s something about the old oven they use and eating a slice in the window people watching. NYC perfection.

Sounds like you had a great visit!

One could say all they needed was some time to gel together as a unit and the ability to ice a full team. Crazy concept

Hopefully they can work on some of the defensive issues and really get rolling into the playoffs. Vibes are high Jan!

Not saying this will even be possible, but if the cash was even would you prefer Tarasenko or Kane/Motte?

I think I lean Tarasenko purely for the fact that Cuylle could be ready to take Motte’s spot.

Tarasenko, I’ve been surprised by his overall game. When we got him I remember a bunch of blues fans and others coming in talking about how lazy he was etc, I haven’t seen that at all.

Tarasenko. I think he is exactly what the first line needs. And agreed, we have younger guys who can come in and fill in that 4th line spot. Also have to think Ohtmann competes for a top 9 spot next year.

Sharing some NYC tips for anyone who’s heading in for a game soon:

Los Tacos No1 is legitimately one of the best bites of food in the city. Get two Adobada “quesadillas” (theyre normal sized tacos with cheese) and maybe a something else. Flour tortillas. ~$20

There’s one on 43rd between Broadway and 8th, so definitely doable before a game. You won’t regret it.

Last two games have been pretty good. They are skating and battling for pucks. Hell last night could have been a blow out. Jarry was crazy good

You guys have me wanting to give this place a look before my next game. I was settled on NY Pizza Suprema but this place should be doable depending on what time i make it into Penn.

Idk how subway ready you are, but from Penn/Moynihan you can take the 1,2,3 uptown one stop to Times Square. Will take you 3 minutes tops and Joe’s is just around the corner from the station.

Definitely worth the effort.
