The hate for Knies by Leaf haters is hilarious.

Its funny they spent all these years saying points don't tell the whole story when Leaf forwards would score so much, now its flipped.

I've been reading a lot of angry tweets on Knies the past couple days, and it's incredible how many people are magically experts on NCAA hockey now.

Yup. Unfortunately it's not the people who matter, who also happen to out number the other side vastly.

If it were 1-8, the Leafs would be either be playing the Rangers or....the Lightning. Would that really keep you on the edge of your seat that much?

Personally I think the rematch with the Lightning is the vastly superior storyline to playing the Rangers anyway.

If I didn't know for 5 months before the playoffs started, yes.

Knowing for the vast majority of the season that no matter what, you're facing a certain team in round 1, sucks major ass. And not good ass like Jessica Alba bum. More like 90 year old ham planet ass.

There's no format that can promise drama in every aspect every year. I think people are idealizing other formats a bit for the sake of whinging. I personally think the inevitability of a rematch this year is great.

1-8 was literally perfect and there should never have even been a consideration to change it. That gives 8 different playoff slot possibilities.

Personally, I'm not a fan of what some are suggesting, in the 1-16 playoff format, but that format does offer total drama from game 1 to game 82. If the league ever did do this, then the season schedule would need to change, first.
