Jeff Carter played 8:28 tonight and was on the ice for four of Montreal's goals at even strength -- that's a minus-4 regardless of what version of the stat you use.

He's the second player this year and 15th since January 1998 to play less than 9 minutes and manage a minus-4.

Who's the other player?

Edit: The line of Steve Larmer, Denis Savard, and Al Secord once each went -7 in a game one time...which is a clear indicator that they all sucked.

Anyone catch anything about Petry I may of missed? .... I have a full line up tonight in fantasy with him in it... But he's DTD... It's playoffs... Wondering if I should drop him and pick someone else.... He's been a stud for a banger league that counts hits and blocks... Great production since returning too. Hate to drop him but it's that time of year where all that matters is winning the week.

Radko Gudas is a fantasy darling for leagues that count those stats. Not sure if Florida plays tonight though.

Oh, do I ever know it... He was a big part of my championship winning team two seasons ago.. He was drafted and never dropped by someone else this season, unfortunately.

I already took down 1st overall in the regular season, so thats my $100 entry fee back. Want to win the playoffs though and another $900... Obviously haha

For those local, the latest rumor surrounding AT&T Sports Pittsburgh is that FSG could choose to merge their current boston TV station, NESN, with AT&T Sports Pittsburgh. That would essentially put the Red Sox, Bruins, Penguins, and Pirates all under the same NESN umbrella.

That would be unique given the crossover between the teams in the same league but with different owners. The good news is that would really solidify the Penguins/Pirates given NESN is a successful channel that turns a profit. The downside is the cost of streaming. I'd worry as a Pittsburgh fan I'd be paying for the Boston sports content which i dont care for and Im guessing Boston fans feel the same. Hopefully they can split the two so each city pays for the teams they want.

Thank you, here is an excerpt from the WSJ that I received from TDAmeritrade. I don't subscribe to the WSJ so I can't post the entire article.

The MLB ultimately wants to blow up the regional-sports-network model, people familiar with the matter said. As a replacement, it envisions a hybrid national and local programming venture that includes traditional television and streaming on its own platform, they said.

Last month, MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred said the league was prepared to produce games and forge new distribution deals with cable, satellite and digital companies while also carrying games on MLB.TV, so fans can buy whatever games they wish to watch.

"The larger-market RSNs with popular teams still generate meaningful cash flow and pay significant rights fees," said Marc Ganis, president of the consulting firm Sportscorp. "But the days of mid-and-small market clubs receiving ever-increasing rights fees from RSNs regardless of how the teams performed...are gone forever."

The year I won I pretty much won on hits, blocked shots, PIM and goaltending. I gave that up though. Much rather spend my free screen time with fishing, fly tying and big booty goth female doges.

Cumulatively, yes. On a game by game basis, it has some value.

I’d have to tend to agree. However I don’t think Carter is really at fault for any of them in that game. Thankfully it’s the rangers and not the islanders tonight. Much better matchup for the pens.

Yeah I hear ya, I'd say fantasy hockey takes up a cumulative hour in total time in a week, a majority of it while on the can hahah ... I drafted so well this year I've only made 15 moves/adds.... Been a breeze... The other guys in playoffs have made 50+ moves, some over 60

The faceoff wasn't his fault; everybody loses some.

At this point, Carter is not getting scratched because he has photos of Sullivan or something. No justification to continue playing this guy.

About the most dropped player on Yahoo yesterday. Honestly I dumped him from about 6 teams, but only because I was able to grab Sandin or Valimaki in all of them.

It would be interesting to see who accepts the new role of scapegoat if Carter was scratched. It wouldn’t take but a game or two.

Yeah I played the patience game... Seems he'll be playing tonight....

... Also.... You have 6 different fantasy teams?!

16 teams with 20 player rosters and most teams having their three IR and one IR+ slot used up.... The free agent pool is a barren wasteland hahaha

I have Konecny and J Toews on IR and Stammer on IR+ currently.... Konecny has been an absolute stud this season, really sucks not having him.. And Stammer too, obviously. Toews doesn't matter that much but he wins a F load of faceoffs while in the top 6 and on top PP, usually.

Have Stammer too, but LW has been my problem spot all year. Drafted a lot of Landy, E Kane and Forsberg.

And currently retired, so I play 16 now...1 dynasty in year 10 and 15 throwaway public leagues that take 2 minutes a week to set. 20 Years ago when 2 hours sleep a night was enough, I had 48 per year and owned a fantasy hockey web site.

What site do you use, Yahoo or something else?
