That’s huge. Saw they were down 4-2 and came back to tie. Was scared to check the score.

Phew! A win is a win…

Kid line didn’t do a ton again. Hoping that 10-15 games of dominance wasn’t a blip. Need them to be more impactful down the stretch.

Best game since the additions. Really looking forward to having Lindgren back. Pens lost. Gotta beat them Thursday

It’s getting there man! Patience. You see the first 30 minutes how they can dominate. Just have to bottle it for 60 minutes

Kid line had looks too. I think they are all starting to come together at the right time.

Good 2 periods to build on and a regulation win..finally! Kind of predictable they'd try to play not to lose in 3rd. Hopefully, they put in a full game against Pens and lose them in rearview.

It's all about getting it all rolling by game 1 baby.

We could see based on the first 2 periods the potential of what we have here. This 4th line we got is going to be absolutely crucial to our success. If they could find a way to chip in a couple goals on top of the pressure they can apply would be youge.

100%. Best first period of the season there imo

Just leave the lines alone now. The kid line needs to start producing tho. They’ve really hit a wall as a trio. Seems like one gets going at a time and not all 3 at the same time. If we get that line going the sky is the limit for this team

The D pairs concern me. Schneider hasn’t looked great so was thinking maybe Miller and Mikkola shift pairs when Lindgren comes back

Glue pair - Lindgren Fox
Mammoth men pair - Mikkola Trouba
Young less minutes pair - Miller Schneider

Lindgren out is really the reason they’ve struggled on the whole. He’s such a calming influence. Really see how he’s missed out there right now. I don’t think it’s gets as hairy tonight if he’s in the lineup, for example.

Just some random thought I had lol but imo, pound for pound Trouba has been the best Ranger since the TDL.

Also, I think it’ll be a blessing in disguise that Miller and Chytil have hit a wall, because that salary was getting a bit high. So this should level it off to 4 mill - 5 mill each for them? Like that’s the max.

If Fox can struggle with all this nonsense, player loss and disorganization... a 21 year old in his sophmore year is going to struggle too.

Yep nothing overly problematic with him. Just some growing pains. He played a lot of minutes for a bit and I think that’s where he got into some trouble

One of the reasons I saw so hellbent on Kane is, he has a knack for getting his shot on net THROUGH TRAFFIC (both his goals are like that). How often do we beg for shots to get through? I’d noticed his sog in Chicago and I’m like we need that

I get it hes terrible defensively and on the Kube Abel goal he was floating, but he’s going to create more goals than he will give them up. Just have to deal with that part. I think is good for him with Trocheck, having a good defensive mind on his line

- Slimtj100

so far he’s a -3, so he’s “given up” 3 more goals than he’s gotten 5v5

How do u figure? He’s been on the ice for 3 more goals AGAINST than FOR 5v5.

By far their best effort in awhile but can’t be so loose with a lead going into the 3rd period. I said to myself if I were the coaches in that locker room I would have made it a point to shut it down and pay attention to detail after the 2nd intermission. Let’s not give up anything or make it easy on them. It was quite the contrary I think that’s why the game left a bitter taste in my mouth. They were playing so well up to that point but not very encouraging feeling that we let them back into the game. I think that’s an honest assessment. We gotta be better moving forward finishing games especially in our own building

Point was made that he would create more goals than give up...you cherry picked a stat to counter that argument.

Also your claim of 5v5 is factually inaccurate. He received a minus for the shorthanded goal against but did not benefit in that stat column when he scored later in the shift. If you were being honest you would consider that a wash regardless of the numbers.

So you gave a stat disregarding the PP contributions just to get a jab in...I think of that as cherry picking a stat

That’s doesn’t mean he doesn’t create more chances than he gives up 🤦🏻‍♂️

If you’re on the ice for a goal where a defenseman makes a horrible turnover that leads to a breakaway goal against, is that your fault as a winger??? Looking purely at the +/- stat is silly

SHG against? Last night? PP and PK don’t count towards +/- FYI
