I think many people summed up last nights game well. The start of a game we've been hoping for awhile now, but not the greatest end. Fox misses Lindgren mightily. I'm ready for Thursday. Keep these lines together and hope the kids can start chipping in a few!

Love the breakdown. You're right. The first isn't primarly his fault. But he also doesn't do anything to try and stop Aube-Kubel from getting the shot off.

I did not argue that Kane was blameless. Kane would have been over-extending to engage Aube-Kubel who took a quick shot off the pass. As mentioned...it was also a really good shot that beat Shesty through a jumping screen.

Kane had a solid game and helped the Rangers win. The numbers showed it, the eye test showed it but I took umbrage with a lazy stat line to disparage Kane.

I'm just saying relying on the Rangers win you a game is risky business and more often than not results in frustration. You might have it worse than me right now. Because as Islander fan I'm sure the 2nd the last thing you want to do is wanting the Rangers to win. I get it. If I had to root for the Islanders over the Penguins I would, but I'd watch in disgust. (I do that that anyway.)
