I hear they have a machine at the exit that grabs you by the ankles, flips you upside down and shakes all of the money from your pockets.
Any truth to that? - Fenrir
I was on a cruise last year and one stop was port canaveral and we decided to do an excursion to Epcot. $300 and by the time we got there we had roughly 2 hours before the bus was leaving to go back to the boat. I think covid policies cost us like 3 hours of wasted time, and we didnt realize the drive there was about 90 minutes so it was a dumb decision.
Should’ve just stayed on the boat and got wasted |

Guardians of the Galaxy ride in EPCOT is a legit experience. Such a different ride.
Rise of the resistance is also a great experience if you like Star Wars.

I know haha. That really was the worst day tho. Other than that it was “smooth sailing” all week.
You been on the Pr1ma yet? I heard that boat is ridiculous, has everything. I think it’s like 10Gs for a good room tho lol |

Largest ship I have been on is Oasis...it was cool with the kids and wife. Lots to do but lots of people. Balcony room is key.

Lindgren missing tonight’s game, eighth straight. If he misses four more games, then not placing him on LTIR is an egregious mistake |

Not that it matters now since we were screwed on the cap hit, but can he be retroactively placed on LTIR? |

Oshie is a POS. - Fenrir
He’s usually a pretty clean player that plays physical, but there’s also been numerous times now he’s thrown some “accidental” dirty hits. The Lindgren hit was dirty and I’m surprised it ended with just the Goodrow scrap, I was expecting him to get hacked and whacked all game. Unpopular opinion, and I’m sure some will disagree, but part of the reason the Rangers didn’t retaliate more is bc they have no one to stand up against Wilson. And if they went after Oshie they didn’t want Wilson to start running around like an idiot. U listen to these podcasts with guys like Orr, Biz etc etc and they say it’s 100% part of how teams play, knowing whether they have a guy like that, (used to be Reaves) on the bench with them and they know what they can/can’t get away with. |

Well, no one knows because we still have no idea what the severity of the injury is. But I posted the rules of LTIR before, 10 games AND 24 days of the season have to be missed. |

Sure seems that way. He practiced in full on Friday. Said he was feeling good. Sucks but I'd rather have him fully healthy come playoff time than rush back before he feels 100%. This team could really use a shot in the arm right now, though.

AND 24 days of the season. - aecliptic
it had to be 10 games and 24 days, as noted. In this case, would be 12 games in 24 days and he is missing his eighth game today. They opted not to put him on LTIR, which should have benefited them when shorthanded pre- and post-Kane deal. Now, no real benefit unless they want to call up Jones or Robertson |

They must have thought theyd have him back sooner by not doing it. |

The benefit would have been limited to having an extra acquired body for those games we were playing shorthanded, plus that player (or two) as an additional option for roster depth moving forward, correct? As soon as Lindgren would have come off LTIR they would have needed to clear whatever cap hit they acquired by sending player(s) down, I think. I could be totally wrong though as I'm no cap expert!
Must have been a tough call, not knowing the exact length of the injury at the time and how important Lindgren is to our team on a nightly basis. And they were probably wary of adding additional roster shake-ups at that time as well, especially given how crazy everything was already. Tough to know what the right move was in hindsight. |

But they stop accruing cap space while someone is on LTIR. They're so tight that they may not have been compliant if he came back. I'd imagine he'd have to be out for the remainder of the season to have made that an option.
I'm not 100% sure about any of that, but I am 100% that you stop accruing (some) cap space when someone is on LTIR |
