You would encourage Matthews to go out there and block shots? I'm about as old school as you'll get but even I know that is dumb. (and these boys will tell you that I'm reeeeeeaaaaaallllly dumb. hehe)

Matthews is no defensive dynamo either. Marner is your best defensive forward. Actually he's your best player period.

If you switched RNH and Matthews, the Toronto people would be comparing Nuge to McDavid and saying that Matthews is a great 2nd line Centre.

People need to stop comparing Matthews to McDavid, it's not even close, never was, and it's unfair to Matthews (and possibly the reason Matthews walks out on T.O. as a UFA).

I'd take Draisaitl over Marner. (and yes, I'd shop Marner too if he were an Oiler).
