Carolina was 23rd in the off season power rankings. With a rookie QB they could be worse. So I am ok with the trade. It probably means Bears spend a lot of money on free agent offensive and defensive lineman. And not back to our regularly scheduled programming (the Blackhawks).

Maybe at right tackle, Poles like KD is looking big picture, think he's going to be smart with free agency

The Bears trade makes me wonder again, if the Hawks had the #1 pick, what would fair value be for it? How many picks and prospects would it take to give it up?

Similar question……Let’s say the Hawks have the 3rd pick after the lottery. Knowing Bedard goes one and Fantilli goes 2nd what is the trade value of the 3rd pick? Would Montreal trade 6 and 13 for the Hawks 1st round and their first 2nd round. Using the draft pick value chart it kind of matches up.

Hockey to me is just different you need 12 forwards not 1. I think in hockey you've got to take the best talent that's right in front of you.

Florida playing 7 dmen. I have not seen a stat, but it sure seems like teams that do that lose more than they win.

Kurashev just seems weak to me. Easily pushed around. Loses stick battles. Gets knocked off his feet easily. Sometimes pulls up unnecessarily. I think his ceiling might be a 3rd liner energy guy. 10 to 15 goals per season.

The other game he was playing defense the forward stopped along the boards Kurashev turned and wiped out awkwardly, got up really slow after that play, wondering if he tweeked something and is trying to play through it.

If you have the 3rd pick and Carlsson there, Size and skill, you grab him .

I am not sure what Guttman’s ceiling is, but I like watching him play.

And as 4th round pick, I’m okay with that.

Yeah, it’s all about draft positioning for the remainder of these games.

It’s a conflicted feeling - always appreciate players grinding it out and never quitting… BUT… we need the best draft odds possible.
