He’s allowed 4 or more in 3 of 6 starts since returning.

Really?! wow, thanks for the information on the the games I watched all of and responding to the comment that at the end I said he always takes a few weeks after long layoffs to round into form.

Feds always reads the first statement of a comment, assumes what the rest says, and slings a take. He’s a gunslinger and gunslingers sometimes miss. But they sometimes hit too.

Nah. He’s trying to say 1 game against Edmonton skewed his stats. He’s sucked since returning.

Even if we didn't trade for Granlund, wouldn't you be a little uneasy giving Zucker another contract? He could easily get hurt again and be trash. This is his 4th season here and his first good one haha

I was browsing UFA's after the season....IDK some big ticket names that are 30+ that will make bank but not sure after that on the F position. If Zucker would take a pay cut I would bring him back. He's been solid this year. Pens might not have a choice.

The G position looks bleak too. I dont know if Jarry is good or not. He has some amazing performances, then gets hurt and then hte team sucks in hte playoffs. UFA G's? IDK.

Zucker has hte most goals on the season for any pending UFA LW or RW.

Its not even up for debate what a 7 goal against game in a 6 game sample size will do to stats haha its the rest of the post you failed to either not read or couldn't comprehend. Then there's posts after that one where Im showing how much better CDS has been than Jarry since Jarry returned.

It was 6 against but yeah let’s ignore the other sub .900 sv percentage games too so you can post some non sensical positive BS.

Knowing that every time he's had a long layoff its taken a few weeks for him to be really good again is non-sensical positive BS? You've gotten weak around here since becoming a dad, dude. Your points and posts are usually a miss these days.

Ive watched all the games in their entirety since he came back except the 1st period vs Panthers. I'm putting about 6 of the goals against solely on him, which is a lot more than there'd usually be if he was in form...So go ahead and be a Boxscore Billy all ya want hahaha

Regardless of how Jarry has played, Hextall not addressing the goalie position better is terrible management. Playing with tough odds that Jarry and DeSmith will both be healthy and one playing well come playoff time.

So you think they'll bring up a guy like Caggiula instead? I don't see them staying at 12 forwards.

Maybe, but who is beside the point. It's just that the "emergency" was a get out of jail free card to call up Nylander, for a look, without exposing to waivers. That will expire If he stays post emergency.
1) he can not be sent back down without waivers
2) there will be no cap space without LTIR for an emergency.
3) they can call Nylander back up if they want, but he would still need waivers to go down again.

If my armchair analysis is right, GMRH would be a fool not to send Nylander down.

Pens need to send him down as soon as they can to build up enough cap space for an emergency call up later.
Remember in GMJR first year where he couldn't call up a D man when they had only 5 healthy because Letang could not be sent LTIR because less than 10 games left.

We'll they better send Nylander done then, unless Poehling isn't coming off of LTIR, right?

That's basically the Pens situation

A) bring back their own guys on bad contracts
B) try to find lesser players on better deals
C) trade futures for players with better contracts

And that's just to get back to where they are this year before trying to improve the team.

Poehling returning to practice in a non contact makes that a little more viable. If he's coming off LTIR soon then that's the move anyways.

If he was expected to miss a large chunk of time, I would definitely want another forward. I'm not sure you're banking enough space for an emergency recall later. In fact I think so long as the player recalled makes less than the LTIR guy you're still banking space the same as nothing from LTIR is banked.

Given age and lack of a ring one would have to think either fattest contract, or chance at a cup will be Zuckers 2 main focuses in free agency.
