I wonder which of those two Sully will play. The suspense is going to kill me until Thursday. - Tojo.

Given age and lack of a ring one would have to think either fattest contract, or chance at a cup will be Zuckers 2 main focuses in free agency. - Grinder47
That's most guys who don't have a cup. I feel like Zuck really wants that cup haha |

In fact I think so long as the player recalled makes less than the LTIR guy you're still banking space the same as nothing from LTIR is banked. - Tojo.
No, the problem is if don’t get the bank anything if over cap. LTIR, doesn’t change the cap, you’re just allowed to exceed it.
Since the cap is prorated. If 90% of the season is gone, you only need $100,000 of cap space to bring up $1 million player. Currently the pens are over cap, but compliant because of LTIR. By sending someone down they get under the cap and can bank the space. If I understand the numbers, sending a player down for a few days will be enough to bring a player up later without LTIR. But it’s complicated.
They obviously won’t send someone down unless they can ice a full squad (or have to become a cap compliant) |

I'll just have to trust you on the daily numbers then. As I understand it, that gets calculated daily and banked all year, and I have no clue where that's at and how much they have banked. If it's truly that close that they just need to bank a little, I guess I can see the point though I'd rather do a recall. |

From Sully's words about Nylander it seems at the very least Nylander has made decisions about him, and the lineup regarding him, hard. |

Also, Nylander and Carter took turns as third line RW with Granny centering - 668710
Would be great to rest Carter a lot...Dumo too...they have the players to do it. Just need Sully to think those old slow pokes need to be fresher in a month. |

I guess that if they are rested they'll be slightly less terrible?
Also, Grinder will interpret your post as "Carter sucks, he is the worst player of ever ever. He is the only reason the Penguins lose games and RAWR Carter!" and vehemently defend his butt buddy. |

I was hoping for a less stressful 4-0 win but that didn’t work out well for the Jackets. |

hahaha yes, thats the thought....mine, anyway.
In Carter's, and I guess Grinder's as well, defense Carter has looked a lot better the past few weeks. I just went to see if my eyes were matching the stats and since February 24th, exactly two weeks ago, he's top 5 or 6 amongst the Pens forwards for xGF%, HDCF% and CF%. However, super congested schedule coming up and his old legs would be well served with a rest here and there.
Worth noting that the #1 player at all of those metrics the past two weeks only played one game....Alex Nylander |

I have no issue with saying a player who's been playing poorly for most of the season is having a nice stretch. But the constant deliberate misinterpretation of anything negative about Carter and his strenuous defense of him is mind-boggling. |

I 100% knew this comment was coming hahaha...and I'd say it's a factor for sure, yes, however Kap had nothing to do with Carter's hands of stone and legs of concrete in a lot of games this season.
