We downgraded from Lazar who’s still to this day a solid 4th liner to an AHL’er and we got a late 2nd for the prized forward of that deadline

It’s ok, life moves on.

Some posters are acting like players don't have agents. Agents are working out the best possible situation for the guys they represent. Always.

Like a simple convo between Hall's agent and the Sabres gm couldn't have a plan "B" in place.

Hey, if and when eichel/ sabres implode, you send traylor to one of these few teams. I've done business with you before and look forward to future conversations.

I would love to see a pk88/ offer from the Sabres, similar to traylors deal.

Sabres sell tickets
If the marriage works , great, if not Plan B
Replace olo or mitts with kane
Call up guy next deadline to replace pk88 and lock in top 10 again.

It's a bit difficult to explain simply, but if the Sabres finish 14th from last, and win one of the two lottery drawings, they would still move up 10 spots, just not all the way to 1st or 2nd overall, as the move up is capped at 10 spots.

Don’t forget to add whatever you get back in the deadline trade. I don’t know how to put a monetary value on draft picks, but it’s got to be worth something yea? Whatever you think of the Hall trade, Sabres did essentially buy a second round pick.
