any concerns over the lack of secondary scoring in 4 of the last 6 games?
- homiedclown

Yes. Absolutely.
I'm counting on:
-Cozens and Quinn to be 2 of the 3 on that 2nd line, Mitts has looked good there as well
-3rd line to chip in and provide secondary scoring. In my scenario above, Crouse comes in on that 3rd line with Krebs/Jost and maybe JJP

Perhaps one of the biggest improvements to the team will be the needed improvement of the coaching staff and their system.
Improve the PK and PP, integrate a better system that at least provides an improved team defense structure.
Don't need to become the '22-'23 Islanders nor the old Devils teams, but atleast require 5 guys to support defensive play ... forwards come back more aggressively, pick up their guy, and push opponents shots to the perimeter while the f'g D tightens their gaps and actually protects the net...no more allowing guys to sneak in or simply camp out in front anymore. Reduce the HD and MD scoring opportunities.

They focused on it last night against a PO team and were screwed only by bad bounces.
They have a young fast team with a couple of transition and controlled-entry horses on the team that is essential to still scoring while also cutting down on GA

I find it funny how Ovechkin manages to get his shot off on the PP despite everyone knowing that’s where he wants to shoot from because Washington works the middle of the ice and below the goal line on the PP. Yet the Sabres have had Thompson become useless because teams just take him away and there’s no other threat.

Great coaching.

Plan is working 100% though

No one in the organization thought the team would jump ahead 1 year of the schedule .

This team is gping to be the king of the east way sonner then people think and big things will happen in the summer

Patience

So you're telling me that "the plan" included subjecting the fan base to two years of this Dale Carnegie bullpoop?

Dahlin is day to day

Samuelsson is week to week

Sure glad they didn’t add more than Stillman on the blue line.

Their goalie add, Eric Comrie is statistically a bottom 5 goalie. One of the absolute worst.

And Gerbe has the balls to come here and say that everything is working perfectly

Just an insult to some of our intelligence

Well, I kinda like Tampa's PP. Get the puck to Koooch in the Circle and he distributes to Stammer in Ovi's office, Heddy at the middle of the Blueline, Point in the low slot, or sends it behind the net to switch sides.

Interesting to see Skinner making Olo redundant by taking that right side "office" away from him now...and it has been working.

Donnie has been an absolute lifesaver for this Org. He now needs to upgrade his system and tactics as I mentioned.

What did Adams say last offseason about the amount of games they prefer their goalies have in the AHL...wasn't is like 100? That would be ~3 seasons. I could be wrong, it might be lower.
In any case I would think they believe 2+ seasons is their ideal.

- IonSabres

I think that's said about guys who sign D+1. 2 years of college cut into that.

Also, we were told that when they were sending UPL down after a strong camp. It was a bit of cover, not something I view as a rule to them.

Donnie has been an absolute lifesaver for this Org. He has players playing with confidence and revitalized Thompson, Skinner, Mittsy, Dahlin, while getting young players to grow very early in their careers in Quinn, Power, Cozens, Krebs. He now needs to upgrade his system and tactics as I mentioned.

Then injuries happened, and he played decently...couldn't really send him down. He is learning the NHL game in the NHL. It's not a bad thing.

I wouldn't call it a rule, string preference maybe.

They’ve proven they will not sacrifice time in Rochester. It’s why we didn’t see Quinn/JJ last year and it’s why we won’t see Kulich this year.

People who are wanting to see Levi in a Sabre uniform next year are most likely going to be very disappointed

They don't need a Top 4 Dman, they need a Top 2 Dman. Samuelsson seems with his style is gonna miss time throughout.

Maybe, I certainly believe Gerbe when he said it was Levi's decision. I'm sure they preferred he went the Roch route.

If he comes straight to Buffalo, would be interesting to see if he plays until they are really out and not clinging to a slight chance.

Don't think Kulich gets a look, if they get eliminated?

They made funny use of their recalls last year + Roch was in a big playoff fight. Little different story this year.

For all the hate, UPL does show flashes. Have to hope for one of them. They have nothing else coming soon.
